A Christmas Carol Yes, I admit it: I watch nearly every version of it that comes along. George C. Scott and Capt. Picard (Patrick Stewart) have both taken on the role relatively recently and did well. What I'm interested in, however, is a brief scene, wherein the Spirit of Christmas Present introduces us to Ignorance and Want. He warns us against both, but particularly Ignorance. I was forcefully reminded of this again this morning when neither Leaf nor Rent could tell us what an "assault rifle" was. Probably ought to know what you're trying to ban before you ban it?
