People that Barry Despises I had the good fortune to play golf with a retired Air Force pilot this week. I told him I had read a story about another pilot who was scrambled on 9/11 to shoot down one of the airliners headed for DC. The issue: they had no live armament. The woman who wrote the story said that her commander told her: "I'll take the cockpit, you go for the tail". In plain English, they meant to ram their planes into the jet to bring it down. As it turns out, the gent I played golf with was in a similar predicament. Neither barry nor our Progressive/Gruber posters here would have a CLUE about such people as this. Their souls are too small to encompass such bravery and patriotism. (for those of you who are thinking "they could eject", that was briefly considered and discarded by the pilots). |
