Not saying I think Obama is an honest man. But I think it's a stretch to blame him for McDonald's exagerations. And to his credit, McDonald seems to have admitted his falsehood early on. You and Lucas both posted on this topic, but I have to suggest you avoid this sort of thing. It's like what both Mitee and Leaf do, and if you continue then u'r credibility will become no better than theirs. I say that in solidarity with both you guys, cos I know you stand for honesty and good traditional American values. We conservatves are better than this. GBU, Gavin

Hi again Lucas and Sax. This morning I heard on the news a report that McDonald's integrity came into question due to claims he's made about firing a lot of workers from the VA as part of his clean up of that agency. If that turns out to be true, then I will agree he's fair game to criticize for all his claims. Take this as my preparation to admit an error if it turns out he lied about the VA. GBU, Gavin

Bob, that's a different issue. I was talking to both Sax and Lucas about the claims McDonald made about his military service. And Obama never appointed him to that. But your point is well taken now that I've learned about his claims regarding his tenure at the VA. GBU, Gavin
