#.1 Dippity Dew was a brand of hair styling gel in the 60s.

#2. Benny Goodman.

#3. A haircut style from the 40s(?). Very short like a butch or crewcut, but with longer bangs in the front.

#4. 20s era young woman's dress style.

#5. Haunting refrain from the early 70s tune "Miss American Pie" by Don ?????. Tune was a symbolic recollection of the era proceeding from the Kennedy assassination, which this line identified as "The Day the Music Died".

#6. Bill Hailey, (Or Bill Hayley(sp?) of the iconic group: "Bill Ha*ley and the Comets," circa 1950-55) or a famous California DJ from the early 50s, whose name I can't recall at the moment.

#7. 50s young men's hair style, so named due to the tendency of the hair to swing up and to the center of the head when combed back on the sides.

#8. Tough one. Ringo was not the original drummer. So that brings the count to five. But at some point near the end, Yoko Ono may have been included in the count for a brief time, or perhaps Paul McCartney's first wife? Some may include Billy Preston, but altho he played keyboards on many Beatles songs, I don't think he was ever officially a member. Anyway, I'm stretching here, so I'm sticking with five.

#9. Beating the chalk dust out of the blackboard erasers. Kids had to pound them together outside.

#10. To sneak into the drive-in theater without paying for a ticket.

This was fun!

GBU,

Gavin
