Oh dear is this going to escalate into "The War Of The Roses"? This brought back something my ex used to do just as I was about to fall asleep he would start scraping my face with his hand! I guess it was supposed to tell me that this was not the time for me to be falling asleep? However it finally frosted my socks and I started to scrape his face with my hand to give him a taste of his own medicine. However I did this in the early am hours when he was asleep and I was already up and adam. Needless to say these days I live my life as a single!!  thecatsmeoww The longest journey made in your life is from your head to your heart."

What Ann failed to explain in this blog was that I was rudely awoken in the early hours of this morning with the biggest swollen lip that you ever saw! To give you some idea of the injury, I look a lot like a big goldfish, a good looking goldfish, but a goldfish all the same. For the first time in my life, I can see my own lip when I look down. When Ann goes to sleep at night she does so with her hand up under her face, like a small child does, with her elbow sticking out from against her forehead. She also dreams a lot and moves around in her sleep. Last night during a particularly active dream with much shouting and grunting, she brought down her elbow and smashed me in the face. Because of the "funny" remarks this injury will attract, I am afraid to leave the house for at least the next month. So, as well as suffering severe facial injury, I am confined to barracks too! If anyone is moving into the shed I've been working on it is going to be the female partner in this relationship. Just in time for the arctic blast that is on our way. She'll enjoy that  Alfie...

Oh God, Alfie and Ann, You have a lovely relationship, swollen lips, black eyes, and whatever else. I remember a time like that and I still laugh at it. When I snored I got a dig in the ribs!!! Happy marriages. Even Lords and Lady's are like the rest of us.
