Don't quote me on it, but I believe I heard that Satire has passed away. I can see how he might have been the "crowding" type person.
Commop was lucky that Granny9 was there and able to take her for medical attention after everyone had gone. Granny often went to visit Commop, and she was there for a week before the event and stayed to help her afterwards.
Commop now lives in Florida nearer to her family there. Granny9 has been gone for a few years. BTW, she was the first SFF person I had met (after Joe) and we often met up at luncheons in the Joliet area that Plano (who is also gone) put together. It was at one of those luncheons we announced our engagement and Granny9 attended our wedding.

i remember there was always snarkiness and revenge stories after bashes....LOL....people accusing each other of dark deeds and others taking sides......I remember one bash where several women who had never met in person decided to share a room and they ended up fighting over a man......a cell-phone ended up in a toilet and one of the women accused another of throwing her phone in the toilet and she said no, you were drunk and dropped it in yourself .....or some such thing.....and sides were taken.....Then there was the whole T-shirt fiasco ......It seemed like the site was always over-run with high drama for weeks after every bash........that's why I laugh at the people here going on about how this site used to be all fun and friendliness......

That is the best part of these events, where grownups behave like kindergarteners.

I saw no rows or strange games when I was in Florida

I'm a rather shy person and not good in large groups of strange people. Like ET I found it a tad overwhelming. too. That's why I never attended another big bash. They are great for people that enjoy such gatherings and meeting new people. Many of us formed great lasting friendships , surely that's the positive side of blogs, bashes and meet ups,

After a little over twenty years as a member of SFF I am so happy I joined along with numerous other wonderful positive things too long for a blog, even meeting and marrying my wife.

After my first meeting others members I have always referred to them as RACKING UP MEMMORIES. i wish to thank each member (passed and present) for making a contribution to my happiness.

No.
I am an alcoholic.
There is too much boozing at those.
I fear I may fall off the wagon.

I will never forget that hotel lounge singer. She made me get up there on the stage and dance with here while she sang. LOL
It was terrible. LOL
But of course being the gentleman that I am -----I managed to oblige her. LOL
