I'm so sorry to hear this terrible news Ann. I wish you much strength and courage to get through this. I've known people who have had the shingles vaccine and still got shingles. Please keep us updated. xoxoxo

We can only hope that you are soon feeling more comfortable and not in so much pain. Keep taking the pills and hopefully relief will come to pass. There is one benefit for me in all this though, my love, you can't wear the bra. Only kidding!!

Alfie...

You touch these puppies and my back and I will be grilling you in the back yard, then tell the authorities it was a jackass I was grilling.

Oh dear!! Warm Hugsss Ann~~~

A number of my friends have contracted shingles..... one on the head near her eye & ear, and one on her inner thigh, as well as a couple with the rash around their waist or bra line. They were in a great deal of pain.

The big issue with shingles is the residual nerve damage which can last a very long time.

The shingles vaccine is only between 50-60% effective, but I think well worth getting it done.

OMG Ann, sorry to hear this and wishing you a speedy recovery.. please keep us posted. I 'thought' I had shingles.. horrible redness below the breast line but no pain, just itchy. All I had at home was some Dovonex left from years ago (for another purpose). I first tried some natural healing cream I had but it didn't seem to do the trick so I tried the Dovonex and after a few applications it worked. But in the meantime I made an appointment with my doctor. When I saw her she confirmed it was not shingles but gave me a prescription for the vaccine. I must admit she was overly surprised that the Dovonex actually worked!

Oh Abeille! I'm sorry to hear this. Shingles are horrible! I had them last May and I suffered a lot for more than six weeks...I still have a light post-shingles symptom.
Hope you get better soon.

Take care of yourself! Perhaps Alfie should live in the shed for awhile so he can't aggravate you?

I told Alfie that having a baby didn't hurt this much!
