The night Hairee2 was taken from us was a really bad night. It broke my heart to see the tears in your eyes as you held her in your arms while she was passing away. We can take a little consolation in knowing she is now out of pain and at peace.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

I am so sorry to hear this Anne, this is such sad news. I can't stand irresponsible pet owners, I have to deal with them here, and I live in the country. I would be very worried about a 10 month old baby around a dog like that. My stepdad did shoot a dog that had just killed 17 chickens and was making a beeline towards my niece, who was crawling in the grass, she was about 11 months old. The dog went kill crazy, or something, and wasn't close to the house when my stepdad went in to get the rifle. My sis in law grabbed my niece and ran into the house, actually, we all ran into the house and left my stepdad to deal with this crazed dog. Found out it was the neighbors dog and let her know what happened, oh, this was out in the country, not suburbs, she said she was going to sue my stepdad. I had 6 of the dead birds in my hands at the time and tossed them on the ground in front of her, told her to go for it, there were 11 more dead chickens and 10 people who witnessed her dog's killing spree. She never went through with her threat. I don't even know what kind of a dog it was, but he was huge, looked like a wolf, but hairy like a Chow.

Ann & Alfie, so sorry to hear this. I lost our dog years ago and I know that not only did I miss him but my son missed him so much that once he had his own house & family, he decided to get a few dogs!!

What terrible news Ann and I can't even imagine how you and Alfie must feel. In addition to calling the police to report this and to let them know animal control is not doing their job, I would also see a lawyer. Those dogs are a menace and have to be stopped.

Like ET this just makes my blood boil. It happens so often. Poor little cat, Im sorry Alfie and Ann. These dogs are bound to cause more trouble if you dont report to police.
