The IRS calls are one of the big scams going on at present. Does anyone really believe we will think a government agency is contacting us without tons of paperwork first? I never even answer my phone if I don't recognize the number. My reasoning is if it is legit and important they will leave a message. Spiritwoman ^i^

In Canada, ours is the CRA (Canadian Revenue Agency) and yes we have those scams here, especially via emails!! Hilarious when they tell you to log into your profile or contact them with your info as they owe you $334+. First clue it THEY don't contact you by email ever & 2nd clue is I believe my refund exceeded that!! ROFL

I have had this happen to me, when the man said he was with the IRS and I owed money, first thing out of my mouth was, this is a scam, and then I hung up on him. He called me right back and then said the IRS owed me money. I did cuss him out and he never called back, so far, so good, the IRS took my threat seriously!

Hi Ann: There are so many scammers these days. Recently there was a man and a woman standing inside our building's filthy garbage dumpster ripping open people's garbage bags looking through their papers, letters, bills, anything they could find to scam people out of their money.
