Alfie said his mother also made them in a pan, sometime in muffin tins.

Can I be your daughter? This brings back so many memories. Mom used to make Yorkshire Pudding with our Sunday roast beef dinner. She used the fat drippings from the beef instead of oil.

Yorkshire Pudding is an English dish. If any of you have read James Herriot, the Yorkshire farm women would serve the pudding, covered with gravy, before the main meal. They would do this to take the edge off the appetite so there would be enough beef to go around the table.

Hi MrsJoe.

I find it to be akin to a savoury croissant - filled with a lot of air.

Hi Ann: Guess what I saw at the grocery store yesterday? Frozen Yorkshire Puddings. Do you eat them plain or are they something you put gravy on?

Both plain or with gravy. I liked when I put gravy, slighty cooked onion chunked on them in the restaurant where we ate them in England. I also tried putting jam on them the other day. Yummy no matter how you have them!
