We saw that growth when we were in the south a couple of years ago... it looks like it takes over and chokes the life from the trees. In the meantime though it the trees take on quite a different form.  Happiness is where we find it, but rarely where we seek it. J. Petit Senn

I agree with Blackpool...and a BIG tall ladder. Maybe he would volunteer to string those lights...lol

I guess it would be called a parasite and yes, it does smother other plants. This particular tree looks eerie at night when the moon is bright.

I think it has been declared that. They have sprayed and tried to kill it but it still grows.

Lovely pic, we also have vines here in Australia that climb their way up the trees and jimbob is correct, the tree is eventually strangled by it.
