Things I wish I'd done when I was younger.

Wish I'd learned to play a musical instrument.

Wish I'd learned a foreign language.

Wish I'd learned how to ski.

Wish I'd asked Marilyn Hoffman to the Senior Prom.

I think she would have agreed but I was not very assertive back then and was afraid of being turned down. These are only a few on my list of "wish I had's". There are many more but these are the top 4. I'm sure we all have regrets about things we didn't to.

I wish I hadn't let marriage and family cause me to put my music SO TOTALLY aside. (I'm back into it now, but that's 30 years wasted.)

I wish I'd made a stronger play for Angela (Girl I was in love with between 11 and 15. She was the "canon" by which I measured all the other women I was ever with.)

Wish I'd gotten over the need to be popular much earlier in my life. (Due to insecurity and weak ego.)

Wish I'd gotten over the need to be recognized as "great" much earlier in my life. (Again, insecurity and a weak ego.)

Wish I'd realized earlier that I didn't need popularity to validate me.

Wish I'd realized earlier I didn't need a woman in my life to validate me.

But I think all of these regrets would have never been a problem if I'd TRULY surrendered to Jesus Christ when I was younger.

GBU,

Gavin

I wish I had taken the job in Australia instead of getting married back in 69. The government would have paid all of my expenses and had a teaching job for me. All I had to do was stay on the job for 2 years.
