I can think of several examples of this that I know personally. The kids were raised to have no personal responsibility, so when they had kids of their own, they took no responsibility for them either, so the grandparents had to. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

My older son who was raised without a father until I met Grumpy who was a Step-Father. He has turned out to be a terrific father. I couldn't be prouder. Abracadabra
