The Best Christmas Present Ever A collage of my very best Christmas presents ever. My Amanda who was my miracle baby, and her three , Natalie 9, Milo 6 and 11 months, (he says to me, "don't forget the months, Grandma"). and our princess, Georgia 4. I left my -in-law out because, while he is loved by all of us, he was Amanda's present, not mine. Amanda is in the left upper corner. This was taken 2 years ago and is my favorite picture of her since she grew up. She is on a cruise with her husband's family, their favorite family vacation. Below her are pictures of Natalie and Milo just before their Gymnastics Christmas Program in 2010. Georgia was always with us when we went to class, but she was too young to participate. She walked for the first time trying to get out on the floor to join her brother and sister. Unfortunately, they moved before she was old enough to join. So now, she wants to be a ballerina princess instead. I made Natalie's costume. She is supposed to be a present for her instructor. I was impressed with how much she learned, although she never really took to it. Milo was in the beginning class and loved it. He was always wanting to do what the older boys were doing, and trying to get to the highest point in the gym. His favorite was the trampoline. We are trying to find him a gymnastic studio close to their new house. Top right is the first Christmas with Georgia and bottom right is the whole bunch last year in their new house. Notice the doll house in the background. Grandma got a bigger kick out of it than the girls did, I think. Girls don't play with them like I did back in what my daughters call "The Stone Age" Now, they play Sims, which is like a doll house on the computer. Milo, however, likes it, especially the bathroom. Why do boys go for bathroom humor all the time? I raised girls, so his fascination with all things bathroom and bodily functions mystifies me. I think all of us who have and grandchildren will agree that they are among the best things in our lives. Mine brighten my life every day with their antics and their love. Christmas is such a magical time when are involved. I am richly blessed. |

They are indeed treasures. Ming got me through my toughest times. Hard to stay in bed depressed when a 2 year old is jumping up and down on you saying "get up, Nonie. It's a sunny day". Back then she was my sunny day. Spiritwoman ^i^

Your comment about boys being fascinated with bathroom humor brought a thought...when my brother was little he found mom's fingernail polish and polished his willie. Mom said he was not happy with her when she used polish remover on it. Your grandchildren are adorable!

Hugs can relieve stress and that hugs was just what you need. Grandchildren are wonderful. I am so proud of my daughter this past few months. I do not know what I would have done with out her. She has been my taxi for so many things.

Children can make us so happy. Even when we are feeling a bit low, in come the kids and everything changes. They have such a different outlook on the world than we have. They are gorgeous kids.
