An Amazing Example of Textile Art

I have a friend who does wonderful Textile Art using a myriad of technique.....I have made lots in the past, but got bored with it........Some of the women who stayed with the medium have really mastered it. I enjoy seeing what they are doing....both in person and online.......This piece that was posted today really struck me with it's energy and movement......It's made by Amanda Richardson. It is made of many pieces of fabric pieced together and sewn.........

This is a gorgeous piece of art!

How talented Ms. Richardson is! I'd love to see the original!

It's lovely. She's quite accomplished.

Wow. Makes mine look like it was done by a 3 year old. I haven't done much though, just what I wanted for personal décor.

Just brilliant. I can well imagine some fabrics lending themselves perfectly in creating the illusion of semi-transparent sheen of moving water/waves. Thanks for this inspiring find lulu.
