I had a shoulder injury years ago but now I can't remember much about it. I do remember spending hours in Emergency but they were useless. Unless something is 'broken' they just send you home with a couple of aspirins. I do remember that shoulder injury was maybe the worst pain I've ever had in my life so I know how you feel. I had to take about a month off work and go to physio every day due to the pain. Hope you will be o.k.

Your assumption that if something is broken, it would hurt more is inaccurate. The only way to know for sure is with exrays, and possibly a CAT scan, even though Bender has evidently already given you one.
I would advise a trip to the ER. Sorry.

Oh dear!! How uncomfortable and painful that sounds!!

I think that you need x-rays to make sure nothing is broken. A pinched nerve may not show up on an x-ray but that's a possibility too.

Please see a health professional!

You will get some suggestions and some shoulda's. 1st and foremost, if it caused you pain, you should of reported it and not refused medical attention. If what happened is not down on paper and you have problems later on, loss of work, etc, you will not have any legal recourse for compensation or payment. 2nd listen to mrsjoe and head to an ER or family Dr for treatment(and documentation).
You have my sympathy and I hope you will be able to enjoy Christmas.
AND, may your Christmas be merry and bright.

Well that really sucks!...Your injury and symptoms sound like Bursitis.....Google it and see what you think........There really isn't anything to be done about Bursitis except some pain meds and resting the part.....wear a sling that is strapped to your body......movement will aggravate the crushed Bursae.

Hope you feel better soon and a Merry Christmas to you and Liszt.

I never hurt my shoulder and I hope you feel better soon. If it were me, I would check it out from professionals if it doesn't get better by Tuesday, as you said. Ice is for swollen and heat afterwards, that much I know. There is Volt*aren cream (I split up the word in case it is a problem listing it) that sometimes helps aches but that is for a muscle thing. I wish I could be more help.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Liszt.

I have problems with bursitis in my left hip and most likely my shoulder (we will be dealing with that on the next visit). A shot of cortisone makes it better. She also recommends vitamin D and Glucosamine & Chondroitin, The liquid seems to work better than the pill form.
