Photo Friday- The Place I call home.

"It's just a place we call paradise
Each of us has his own
It has no name, no, it has no price
It's just a place we call home"

An extract from the song, "Conquest of Paradise" - Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou

Somewhere there's a paradise
Where everyone finds release
It's here on earth and between your eyes
A place we all find our peace"

Nice place LookLook about your home. After being away for ten days I was glad to be home again in my own space.

Such wonderful architecture and so nice inside.
I enjoy seeing how things are designed and made.

I have a problem>>>> When I see nice things, I want them LOL
Since I can't have your house, I want the thick rimmed saucer and cup.
Send to TX JW, Central Texas, U.S.A. LOL!

I was trying to see a close-up view of those pictures back there. I am sure there must be one of the young lady who did the painting of the big wheeled rickshaw.

I assume she has graduated from college here and on to bigger adventures.
You see----Some things on the internet are worth remembering!

About songs. ------- Home, Home Sweet Home ---1823 version is one that people would stand and sing when parties were ending in my younger days.

Look this is a special blog. You have done well for you and your family.

I have been thinking of doing a blog about my tractor ------ my special cowboy hat rack, of my desk at which I spend the winter waiting for spring so I can get out of the house but none of it fits on this site. LOL

Take Care and Party On!

Correct what you have said about home, dear Rocket. I see no reason to disagree with you. The Photos were shot by me long before except the last two. I have used three of these photos in two of my earlier blogs. I wish you all the best during the current year. Take Care. Be safe, my friend.

Thanks for your post, Shartaun. I travelled a lot when I was busy with my job. I used to miss my rented home when travelling abroad on holidays as well as for official purposes. I can understand your feelings about your home. Take care of yourself. Stay cheerful always.

Thank you so much for your short but meaningful post, Archer. I appreciate it. I am glad to read that our Televisions appear to be of the same brand. You may be right in this respect. I hope you are keeping well. Be safe, my friend.

Maudie, it feels always good to hear from you. Your comments here enrich my blogs. You are from a wonderful country where William Butler Yeats, one of the greatest poets of the 20th century, was born. While visiting the United Kingdom in December 1976, Dublin was also included in my bucket list. But I had to fly back home before Christmas. I know that you have travelled a lot and you know why such unexpected things happen. Take Care. Stay happy throughout the year 2024.

TxJW044.
I read your blogs whenever opportunities present themselves! I read your comments left on blogs uploaded on this site by other people. You know how to appreciate the write-ups and encourage the writers to continue writing blogs. I take this opportunity to thank your good self for leaving thought-provoking as well as humorous comments on the above blog of mine.
You will be surprised to learn that this building was the second project of my architect. He designed the building and also supervised its construction from time to time. He did not charge me a single farthing for the work. He is a famous architect in the country and inspired my only daughter to be an architect.
I am not a person who can solve your problem. Your address is incomplete. Moreover, I don't know if the cup and the saucer are still available at home. My housemaid breaks things frequently while washing them.
My granddaughter is yet to complete her studies. She will complete the course in the year 2025. She intends to obtain the highest degree in animation. The paintings mentioned in your post are her works. She and her parents were here with us during the last Christmas holidays. She has many memories here.
I shall eagerly wait to read your blog on the tractor-cowboy hat rack, and your desk. Spring is not far away.
Thanks again for your post left here on my blog page. Take Care, my friend. Stay happy and cheerful throughout the year 2024.

Looking at your pictures, I felt peace and comfort, like a oasis in a dessert of buildings insted of sand.

Hello, troll,
Dhaka, the city where I live now, is one of the megacities of the world. Some of us call the city a concrete jungle. The city was not like this when I first came to live here permanently from my hometown in the year 1957. I came here to study Economics in the Dhaka University. I have seen the city turning gradually into a crowded megacity. I have seen how this beautiful city became a concrete Jungle and why.
My home is a two-story building built on a family-owned land. It was the only building on this plot when building its ground floor was completed in the latter part of the seventies. Now it is surrounded by high-rise buildings.
Thank you for your comment. I also consider my home as an oasis in a desert of high-rise concrete buildings. I have seen some of the megacities of the world. They all look like my city.
Take care. Have a pleasant 2024.

Thanks for sharing these photos Looklook. Your home looks so cozy. I love all of the photos but my favorite is the kitchen with the rays of sunshine pouring in. They say natural light is a decorator's best friend!

A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!

Pearls, Hello,
I am delighted to read your comments here on my blog page after such a long time. I hope that you are well. Each room of the house on each of the floors is ventilated and specious. The building is though compact but airy too. The sun's rays pour into each of the rooms without any obstruction when the sky is not cloudy. Before concluding, I wish you a Happy, Joyful, and pleasant 2024.
