 SOME OF OUR TREES LOSE THEIR LEAVES IN SUMMER, NOT IN WINTER. AND SOME DO NOT LOSE ALL THEIR LEAVES AT ALL. BUT WE STILL LOOK FORWARD TO SPRING FOR LONGER DAYS AND MORE WARMTH. TAKE CARE DEAR FRIEND.

Archer, to me, spring is the best season of the year. There are reasons why leaves fall off trees during a particular time of the year. Usually leaves fall off trees when they are not doing their allotted job anymore. You know what is the allotted job of the tree leaves. The leaf needs water to turn sunlight into food for the tree. The leaf stops working when it fails to turn sunlight into food for the tree due to its inability to suck enough water from the soil for various reasons. When the leaf is empty of water, the tree stops holding onto it and it falls to the ground or blows away in a gust of wind. I agree with you that we look forward to spring for longer days and more warmth. Take care of yourself, dear friend. Stay safe and sound.
