The Dance of the Winter Breeze!

The winter is expected to arrive earlier than usual this year in the northern parts of my homeland. The thick fog in the early morning, the chilly dew in the air, the sparkling dew drops on the grass, and vehicular traffic with headlights on until late morning would become a regular feature in this region of my country. The photos posted depicting the early winter scene below speak for themselves!

It is Autumn here now: Time to watch the leaves changing colours and finally falling on the grounds below. But things are different here this year. The nature has gone a bit wild. At least, I feel so. The sky does not look blue in the city where I live now. The summer haze is yet to be replaced by clear air that leads to a bright blue scene. I wish I could go to the beautiful city of Rajshahi to feel the touch of the breeze of winter now being enjoyed by the people of the northern region of this land.

Photos: Collected.

WE ARE JUST BEGINNING TO FEEL THE EFFECTS OF AUTUMN HERE AND ARE NOW WAITING FOR THE RAIN THAT SHOULD HAVE BEGUN EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. VERY BAD WEATHER, HEAVY RAIN AND FLOODS ARE FORECAST IN AREAS WEST OF HERE. ONE GOOD EFFECT OF RAIN HERE IS THAT THE AIR IS FAR LESS POLLUTED. FROM THE SOUNDS OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ABOUT DACCA, I WONDER JUST HOW OFTEN YOU ACTUALLY SEE REALLY BLUE, CLEAR SKIES. AT LEAST HERE ON THE COAST FOG IS VERY RARE BUT THERE IS A LOT IN THE VALLEYS INLAND.

Your pictures have a very October like feel about them though you say the season doesn’t feel like it should. There have been so many changes related to the climate over the last few years that nothing is as it was before in many parts of the world. Winter is becoming like summer, summer is becoming like Winter. The earth is in a state of flux.

Autumn here in western Ontario has been much more pleasant than in the past number of years..... Sunny and highs usually around 12c.

I have always liked the eeriness of fog..... although it's quite dangerous on our poor highways at times like that. Days on end of fog would be rather depressing I think.

Archer, you know that we have six seasons in Bangladesh. Each of the seasons consists of two months. In Bengali, we call early autumn "Sarat Kal". The season welcomes a bright blue sky and green fields, followed by a golden harvest during Late Autumn ( Hemanta Kal ). It is also synonymous with a romantic notion of our lives. Though, like Western countries, it is marked with fallen leaves, it is not touched by melancholy in any way. Take care, dear friend.

Autumn is a beautiful season with the falling and changing colours of the leaves.

Nice selection of pictures, even though they are a little grey and gloomy. I love bright clear blue sky days.

We have very heavy rain here the last few days, . with homes and businesses flooded in parts of the country. Shocking for the poor people affected by the heavy rainfall and storm.

Stay well Looklook.

Indigo,
I see no reason to disagree with what you have mentioned above about changes related to the climate that have been constantly happening over the last few years in various parts of the world. The pictures posted have a very October-like feel because they were all taken during October last. All these photos were taken from the northern parts of my home country, where people usually feel winter touches during October every year. I miss the Autumn that I enjoyed during my past life. Thanks for stopping by and for your meaningful comments. Take care and stay cheerful always.

Rocket,
The average temperature during Autumn here in Dhaka varies between 30 c to 19 c. This year, the temperature appears to be unpredictable. 12c means winter here. We expect our city to be covered by fog till 9 AM, every morning during autumn and winter. The country is known as the land of rivers. River transports can not ply during foggy nights or mornings, Sometimes, our airports remain closed due to fogs when visibility is almost zero. Yet, I like autumn as well as winter. Take care, dear friend Rock. Stay happy and cheerful always.

Maudie, thanks for stopping by and for the meaningful post.
Autumn is a beautiful time of the year here in my country. It brings people together to enjoy togetherness. The late autumn is also harvesting time, too.

Yes, the pictures posted above look gloomy and grey. The photos are from rural Bangladesh. The area was engulfed by fog when the photos were shot. The road scenes were also from rural highways covered by morning fog.
I feel sad for those who are affected by recent storms and heavy rainfall in your country.
I hope you are keeping well, dear Maudie. Always Take care of yourself.
