Nothingness! In your infinity, As far as my heart and mind roam There is no misery, No death, No discord anywhere. Death takes the shape of death Misery becomes a pit of misery when averse to you I look at myself. Adapted from the works of R N Tagore. Translated by Soumyadip Pal |

O perfection, Surrounding your feet is everything, everything, everything Except, there is no fear, That is only mine So I weep day and night.

IT IS VERY UNWISE TO IDEALIZE THE PERSON WE LOVE. ALSO VERY UNWISE TO DEBASE OURSELVES. OUR PERCEPTION OF PERFECTION CAN ONLY BE IMPERFECT SOWHJY NOT JUST LIVE AND LET LIVE?

IT IS VERY UNWISE TO IDEALIZE THE PERSON WE LOVE. ALSO VERY UNWISE TO DEBASE OURSELVES. OUR PERCEPTION OF PERFECTION CAN ONLY BE IMPERFECT SOWHJY NOT JUST LIVE AND LET LIVE? As mentioned above, this is an adaptation of the works of the Bengali Poet Rabindranath Tagore. It is a devotional song. I have left out the last few lines of the song. I take this opportunity to post the missing lines for you to read and ponder. "This fatigue within me, My worldly burdens, Would disappear in the blink of an eye If only I can keep your semblance in the core of my life. The poet tells his Lord that everything that is his is neither his nor existent in universal reality. In the infinitude of eternity, our worldly affairs dissolve into nothingness. Stay safe and happy always, dear friend.[/COLOR]

This is a poem of despair. I think many need a concept [invisible being/crutch/promise of eternity] to help lift them out of it..... Whatever it takes for each individual to wake up each morning with joy in their heart.

I HAVE A VERY HARD TIME BELIEVING SUCH THINGS. DEITIES, ETERNITY AND SUCH, ALL THAT SUPPOSED PERFECTION ARE OF NO COMFORT TO ME. I AM ONE OF THOSE FEW PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE ALL SUCH IDEAS HAVE SPRUNG FROM LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNIVERSE, FAR TOO ANCIENT FOR US NOW.

There was a time when I was unwilling to commit myself to the opinion about either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a divine entity! But at the fag end of my life, sometimes now I feel the presence of my creator in me! I don't know why I feel like that. Maybe, time would tell me why I feel like that though the chance of happening such a thing in my life is very remote. Do we know everything about the expanding Universe? I wonder if our future generation would consider our knowledge of the Universe ancient too? Thanks for the conversation, dear Archer. Take Care, my friend. Stay safe always.
