Some of the world's most persecuted rebuilding their lives in Chicago

Pictures showing Rohingya refugees rebuilding their lives in Chicago.

Rohingyas are an ethnic, mostly Muslim minority (some Hindus too) who have faced decades of discriminatory policies and violence in Myanmar that aggravated during the Burmese Military Junta rules followed by Aung Sang Suu Kyi, the false preacher of freedom and Security.

The Rohingya people live mainly in the northern region of Rakhine State, Myanmar, for centuries and have been described as one of the world’s most persecuted minorities.

The US House of Representatives passed a resolution labeling the Rohingya crisis as "genocide" in December,2918.

Those readers who are interested to learn more about these Ethnic Minorities may please go through my blogs titled “Two eyes of a Burmese Military's gang R*pe victim” posted on 10/21/2017 and “Man’s inhumanity to man, makes countless thousands mourn” posted on 9/26/2017 respectively. They can also Google “ Kutupalong in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh" that happens to be the world’s largest refugee camp for more details about the Rohingay refugees!

Picture Details:

3. Rohingya refugee Zulah participates in an English class.

Wonderful blog LookLook ... and I think "countless thousands" of Americans would agree with the sentiment and compassion shown here. Thank you...it's good to know, amidst all of the racism being shown these days, that not all are bereft of compassion and empathy.

WHAT A SHAME THOSE PEOPLE HAD TO SETTLE IN A MOSTLY NON-MUSLIM COUNTRY AND IN SUCH AN AWFUL CLIMATE. WE CAN ONLY HOPE THEY WILL BE CONFRONTED WITH LESS DISCRIMINATION IN CHICAGO THAN IN MYANMAR. THANKS FOR THE INTERESTING PHOTOS, LOOK

I see no reason to disagree with you, Katie. I believe in what Gandhi had said long time ago about humanity.
"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.
Mahatma Gandhi.
Thank you so much for the comment that you have left on my blog page. Take Care and stay cheerful always.

Archer, such thing happens always whenever people are compelled to settle in a new country for various reasons! Religion does not play an important part in such situation. We must not forget that this group of Rohingyas used to live in a predominantly Buddhist country where they faced religious hatred and struggled with tornadoes and cyclones for survival They have settled in a country where one of the three Prophet Abraham's religions are practiced by majority people and where rule of law exists! Thanks for your post. Stay happy and well.

Thanks for your interesting blog, Looklook.
It is unfortunate that, in today's world, there are still groups like this one, suffering so much. Good thing they have found refuge in the USA.

Glumo. thank you so much for the views that you have left on my blog page at above. I may take this opportunity to add here that the Rohingya people are an Indo-Aryan ethnic Group who lived in Arakan State (now renamed Rakhine State) of Myanmar since 8th centuries. The were made stateless by Myanmar Military Junta after they took over governing the country by dropping them from the list of Burmese Ethnic Groups though 400.000+ still live in Myanmar out of an estimated one and half million. In neighboring Bangladesh Refugee camps nearly 800,000 Rohingyas found shelter now as refugees waiting for repatriation to Myanmar.

Maisie, I live in a predominantly Muslim country where women are legally treated equally with men in all respects. They are provided with equal opportunities
and freedoms just like what you are provided with in your country! May I request you to visit this country one day to find out the truth? Thank you so much for stopping by and for your post!
