A Cat has nine lives! An event for the wild cat to remember! This morning I found a wild cat meowing being trapped in a most unthinkable place of our home. Probably the poor creature got itself stuck up there while jumping down from the roof of our two story building. It found itself stuck up in between meshed aluminum net and the grill on the balcony of the first floor of the house. It was simply being sandwiched between the iron grill and the net, unable to even move as it did not land on its feet! It required almost two hours for two of us this morning to set it free from its self made prison from where it had no escape route readily available to it. This cat was not a domesticated one! Cats are also known for their dexterity and agility. But for this particular cat, neither its dexterity nor its agility helped it to free itself from its prison. It required human help to get free itself to live out it’s all the nine lives! I must thank Shamuel who helped me to get the cat out of its prison. All Credit goes to him! “A cat has nine lives. For three he plays, for three he strays and for the last three he stays." |

Sometimes Dexterity and Agility may not work!

He was certainly caught up in a strange trap. I'm so glad you were able to get him out. I love cats!

I started to say I am glad you noticed the poor thing and was able to help it...... but actually, I'm not near as glad as the cat is! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

There once was a wildcat in full hunt Who stalked from a roof line in front So intent upon catching his prey A severely wedged price he did pay Thank god someone heard his grunts!

Thank you so much, Karin for your comments. The cat was really in a miserable situation that could have killed him if not freed by us from the unusual trap. It surely saw the signs of its imminent demise! Hope you are doing fine. Stay happy and have pleasant weekend. Greetings from the Ganges delta!

Thanks for the rhythmical lines posted here on my blog page that has described the situation and its aftermath correctly! I appreciate. The cat was really in full hunt and did not see the imminent danger that waited nearby! Thanks again for stopping by my blog. Have a wonderful weekend!

Yes Deb, the cat was really frightened! It was a heartbreaking scene! It is for the second time the Cat climbed up to the roof via a Jack fruit tree! I have since decided to cut the branch of the tree that the cat uses frequently. This morning, I saw the cat stealthily moving in the garden probably in search of a rodent! It is alive and kicking. Have nice weekend.

Thanks Joannita for the comments that you have so kindly left here on my blog page. The comments are not only well written but also meaningful too. The post has surely enriched the blog! The plight of the cat made me call for help from Shamuel who is more capable than me in such rescue works! He managed to remove the panel of woodworks to open partially the net for the cat to come out of the closed space! As advised by you, the cat will be surely told to use the stairway if it visits the roof of the house next time by chasing either a rodent or to gaze at the star studded night sky from an open place! By the by, I have passed on to Shamuel your regards, Stay well, Joannita and take care.

A previous owner in the building where I live had two Bengal cats. Apparently he had a cat tree for them to climb up on that went up to the ceiling. One of his cats always wanted to go outside for walks. He would put a leash on it and out they would go. They are such curious creatures and like to explore. I suspect that the cat you freed was snooping around somewhere he shouldn't have been. You and Shamuel with kind hearts helped him to safety.

Well Done LookLook and Shamuel. Now the cat is free to keep down the rodent population. I am glad the cat is now free. It surely would've died. You have saved it.

Thank you so much for your post, Sue. These cats can not be domesticated as they prefer to live free in the wild. We leave some food specially cooked fish on the window seals of our building for them to eat when they go hungry! Take Care and stay well always.
