Nibiro Ama-Timiro Hote নিবিড় অমা-তিমির হতে

Wish you were there when the sailing boat of a blossoming moon anchored at the port crossing the vast Indian Ocean in full tide! I looked around to locate you but in vain. You were not to be found there on the auspicious occasion when all present were happily busy drenching each other with colors as it was the time to celebrate the colorful spring festival!

Where did you go on that auspicious night? Did it not occur to you that someone who had loved you so much would be there to welcome the sailing boat and would expect you to come ashore to touch him with your soft brush and paint him pink and orange before leaving him alone at the pier finally?

Or were you really there unseen on the boat to take me with you to sail together towards the unknown?

From the sea of Darkness!

From the moonless sea of darkness
Embarked in full tide
The sailing boat of a blossoming moon.

The earth, filled with unseen flowers,
Arranged her vase at celestial shores
With a string of light,
Hued like the golden jasmine.

Moments turned, at moment's banks,
The boat anchored at Dol*,
The earth smiled in her dreams in silence.

Bringing in a boatload of celebration,
Did she finally decide to moor
At the full moon night, this pirate of sleep?

*Dol - a colourful spring festival of the first full moon of spring in this part of the sub-continent.

These are absolutely beautiful LookLook... and so peaceful. Thank you for posting them.

I love to paint boats. All kinds, but the ones I love best are the old clinker built sailing vessels.!

Thanks Katie_au_lait for your comments. A considerable time -- at least two years of my boyhood, I had to live in our riverside ancestral village home where we were sent by our father from Chittagong after the Japanese Air force bombed the Chittagong port and the city was under constant threat of getting attacked by the Imperial Japanese Army! And that was the time when I came to know about various types of boats that were being used at that time for transporting everything including humans as long distance road connections were very rare in this part of the then Indian Sub--continent! Before concluding, I must mention here that a journey by boat in a moonlit night is beyond comprehension of those who did not undertake such Journey ever!

Awesome photos LookLook. I particularly like the ones where a storm is brewing. The picture of the sailboat and the moon in the sky reminds me of the harbor where I live. I note that the past couple of nights we had a full moon or close to being full. When it shines down on the water it is an awesome sight to behold.

Many years ago I lived near San Francisco, California. I used to see street artists there and I was always fascinated with their talent.

Shartaun.....You seem to be lucky because you live near a vast water body where all sorts of boats could be seen cutting through the peaceful water either in a moonlit night or during a busy day! However, the feelings of enjoying the awesome sight described by you are beyond comprehension of those who have not seen such sight ever in life! Abelle.. .. ..Your country can boost a dazzling array of street art destinations which the street art lovers would like to visit. San Francisco is one of such cities! Here one can enjoy the city’s street arts, especially bright inspiring murals! Perhaps you wanted to post the comment on my blog that tells about street arts. Karin..... The pictures are all there where they were posted! I do not know why they disappear from time to time! I was told about it by some of the readers also in the past. Maybe, the problem rests with SFF server! Listen to the song by opening the channel. You will also feel sad and lonely. The English translation that appears on the blog may tell the reader something but not all. Because, Tagore's songs/poems written in Bengali originally, can not be translated perfectly in another language! I may however add here that as mentioned in the text of the blog, I shall always wait for the boat to come and take me away to sail towards the unknowns!
