The Compassionate Tiger and The Brave Goat !!

The Brave Goat has survived but Bruised needing Veterinary Attention!

The unlikely friendship has finally ended almost tragically!

He was meant to be his lunch!

But Amur proved himself a compassionate tiger. May be, Timur’s courage amused Amur so much that he forgot that he was hungry on that fateful day!

The companionship that lasted between Amur and Timur for a considerable long time has ultimately dissolved in a fight yesterday, the 29th January, 2016.

After all, a goat is always a goat! He had no business to bully Amur, the compassionate Siberian tiger!

Perhaps, many of us could remember when the friendship between the mighty tiger and the brave goat began!
May I draw my readers’ attention to the story that Beth1949 had posted on her blog page of this site a few months back telling us about an unlikely friendship that developed between a tiger and a goat?

Readers will please recollect that “Timur was placed in the tiger’s habitat as part of its twice weekly live animal feedings.
The goat surprised onlookers by not only refusing to be eaten, but actually kicking the the tiger out of its bedding area.”

I could recollect that these two not only lived peacefully but also played with a soccer ball together.
The relationship was no doubt beneficial for Timur—the brave Goat! However, Timur began to suffer from obesity due to the beneficial relationship.

So the inevitable happened!

It is reported that, “Timur had been jumping on the tiger, poking it with its horns and attempting to push it.

The uncalled for bullying was enough for Amur –the mighty tiger! It could no longer tolerate such bullying from someone who was supposed to be his lunch!

According to The Siberian Times,” the large cat grabbed the goat by the scruff of its neck and shook it “like a kitten.” Finally the tiger tossed it down a small hill in their enclosure. However, the compassionate tiger did not kill the Goat!

Timur was removed from the habitat by the official of the, Primo sky Safari Park in Russia's far southeastern corner and gave him emergency veterinary treatment.

"Amur did not assault Timur. The tolerant Amur taught a lesson to the impudent Timur," the park said in a statement.

End of the true story! Any comments, dear readers?

Hello Ladyluck,
You may be correct, Ladyluck. We can not explain always why a certain thing happens breaking all accepted rules. Your comments have reminded me the famous quotes from Shakespeare reading as under:
" There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
- Hamlet (1.5.167--8 ) Hamlet to Horatio
I think Amur may initially feel lonely without his friend but time is a great healer! Yes, everyone needs companionship of one form or another. I agree with you. Thanks for youyr meaningful mcomments. Have a nice sunday!

akamatt,hello,

I am very much pleased to read from you here as usual. You are absolutely right. I was waiting for this update soon after the news broke in the western media. We can not expect a goat behave differently though a well-fed Siberian tiger may not kill its prey always.
Wishing you all the best. Have a pleasant weekend,Akamatt!

Interesting story and good to think. If animals with big differences can get along well, why we humans cannot? Compassion, tolerance, respect, patience...are basic in a good relationship. Of course, bullying ends the patience of anyone.
Thanks for sharing, Looklook.

GLUMO, Welcome,
It is always nice to read from you on here, Glumo. Like you, I always ponder upon why humans, being the best of God's creations, can not get along well with each other always? We humans must not lack the virtues that you have mentioned in your post. Though the patience of this great animal finally ended, yet it did not kill the foolish Goat! Here, we have surely something to learn from the tiger! Have a nice weekend, Glumo,
