20 Most Peaceful Countries In The World ! Which country tops the list of the most peaceful countries on our planet Earth? The answer is Denmark. The country is always a safe place to live. Danish people lived peacefully even when Denmark was under occupation of Nazi Germany. They did not fight the occupiers for obvious reason! They knew that others would do the fighting on their behalf. Danish People always like to focus on economic matters. The never involve themselves in useless armed conflicts! I like Danish people very much. They are very friendly, open and helpful. I have never been to Denmark, but have cultivated friendship with Danish people while living in Hamburg. long time ago! 1. Denmark Many of us would not believe that Norway is the second most peaceful countries in the World. It may be due to the fact that Anders Behring Britvik, the mass murderer, lives in Norway!! However, according to GPI (Global Peace Index), Norway is a safe country to live. It is also a friendly country to stay. Since prehistoric days, Norway welcomed new settlers to come and stay with them in harmony and peace. However, despite proclaiming neutrality during World War II, Nazi Germany invaded Norway. During the occupation, Norwegians built a resistance movement which fought the Nazi occupation forces with both civil disobedience and armed resistance. Norway is the country with the highest level of human development in the globe. Peace has been placed in Norway at the forefront of everything It is one of the top priorities of this great country 2 Norway Even a tiny island located in the Indian Ocean can achieve the distinction of being the 20th most peaceful countries in the world if everything goes well for it. Yes, I am speaking about Mauritius where my friend lives. According to the GPI Report 2013, Mauritius is one of the most peaceful nations on Earth and ranked as the most peaceful country in Africa. 20. Looklook, Thanks so much for this good blog and thank you greatly for mentioning eventually my small country Mauritius. It's true we are listed among these peaceful countries. One must see to really believe it. We have no differences between races, religion and color here. We consider all humans have their rights and have freedom of speech as well providing it does not to offend anyone too. All nations of the world are welcome here, except those of terror of course. It doesn't cost really to be a friendly nation and to maintain peace with the others. That's how we are really and also teach our children and generation to come. You are welcome as well as everyone who would like to experience the peaceful life in my country Mauritius. earthytaurus. The sooner we give peace a chance it is better! War must not be a priority at any time! Earthy, I have seen World War II and our War of Liberation of 1971 when we fought the Pak occupation forces and saw their brutality!! I saw the greatest man made famine in the then Bengal(now most part of Bengal is known as independent Bangladesh) of undivided India during World War II.
