Day 17 Sitting on my balcony, and seeping a cup of tea, I was reading a script sent to me by a friend of mine for my comments. While going through the first few pages of the script, I could feel that the story is based on my friend’s own emotional experiences being a lonely man, passing most of his time in his home, and addicted to browsing social websites on the internet. Suddenly, it occurred to me that I can share the story in installments with many decent people for reading the story gradually and compare the facts with their own experiences on this site. Appended is the first installment of the story which I intend to post gradually if the reader's responses are favorable!! My friend has also agreed to share the story with others. Tisha did not turn up on the scheduled time online. He tried to contact her on a cell phone but failed. Her cell was turned off. This was most unusual of Tisha. She had never failed to keep her schedule during the last days. He became worried for Tisha. It was dinner time for him also. However, he skipped his dinner and stayed back at his desk, staring at the lighted computer screen. He could not see any reason for doing so. Tisha was a recent acquaintance and as such, he was not supposed to get himself worried for her. “What has happened to Tisha”, he asked himself. “Has she fallen sick or met with an accident?” he asked himself again. “No, it can’t be, Tisha is a careful driver. She drives her car perfectly well.” He tried to assure himself. After a while, he decided to ring her land phone, which he had never done before. He raised the handset and started dialing the number. Then he remembered, Tisha had asked him not to ring the land phone. She did not explain why. Instantly, he stopped dialing and came back to his desk. “I must be stupid,” he said, “I am not supposed to ring her land phone.” As the night was growing old slowly, he became restless. He felt like analyzing his state of mind. Why should he feel worried for Tisha's failure to keep her schedule? Tisha came from nowhere in his life. He knew very little of Tisha. He met Tisha in a most unlikely place days ago! It was a chance meeting!! ( To be continued)
