FURTHER ARTICLES FROM BREDA'S TOURIST BOARD

This is the beautiful Kilkenny Castle, situated in a city which has been named as the friendliest in the world, but especially in Europe. There are beautiful hotels, restaurants, and lovely romantic getaways. Summer, of course is the best time to visit, but a lot of our tourists come over here to get the rain and cold. Thats something i can never understand but I was talking to an Australian the other day and she came for the cold. It was a blistering hot day at the time! We had a great laugh. There is always something to do in Kilkenny. One of our most beautiful cities for scenery and friendliness. (Breda's Tourist Board) More to follow.

Looks like a lovely place, Robyn. The bridge in particular catches the eye and draws you in.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Our tour spent an afternoon there we had lunch and visited the castle. I also managed to find a lovely bookshop with several books I couldn't get here in English. And it was gray and drizzly.

I was told my ancestors came from County Kilkenny. With a last name like Ryan they could have come from anywhere in Ireland.

Beautiful. To me it's a romantic place.
I've read your previous blogs, Breda. Had troubles with internet.
Beautiful pictures, that of the children's choir as well as that of the blue ocean; I'm glad you had such a nice day over there.

Hi Lucy, Ireland is so small, its not all that difficult to get the pics and see most of the country over a period of time. I think my travelling days are over for this summer. Cold and blustery today.

The Irish are very friendly people, and when I go away I expect the same, but it doesnt happen in every country. However, I did find Americans friendly, but they seem to be always in a hurry!!!!

Gosh Ann, the Ryans usually are located around Clare/Tipperary, but you never know. I must investigate and see.
