I FEEL SORRY FOR SOME PEOPLE

Yes, I feel sorry for racists. I would hate to be so full of hatred because a person is black that it fills me with sadness. Why do they hate a person because of the colour of his/her skin.
Last week, our neighbours who are attached to the local Protestant Church, brought a crowd of little African , called The African Childrens Choir, and introduced me to them all. I hugged them and made them feel very welcome in our little community. Their favourite song is O Happy Day. They sang in the Royal Hotel Bray, and every year they draw a great crowd. Its free in, subscriptions accepted. They were so happy to be here, full of smiles, and the local people housed them for the week. They are collecting for their own schools.
When I looked at them, the little happy faces, I wondered how anyone could hate them because they are black. A lot of them dont have the same problems as the so called well off white people, because they have a different outlook on life, and know a lot more about survival. I got last years DVD called "Because you loved me" and I will get this one when it is ready.
Some people are so good, they just loved them unconditionally, and its so easy to get along with them.
I get so angry at the pelple who have the audacity to think that black people are not as good as white, or are different. How dare they, They look beautiful and that comes from inside. Some white people are so full of resentment and hatred that their faces are like stone. Its the nearest spa they need, or best hotel, biggest car, how to make more money as if they havent already enough, a bigger house in a more exclusive area, and most of them are drinking themselves to death inside all this power a glory. Thank God we have black people, and these little black who can mingle so well with our at school. They see no difference at all. As far as they are concerned, we are all the same.

Skin color is only a matter of adjustment to prevailing climate, scrape away the skin and the rest is the same for everyone. Last week I saw the movie, "The Butler" and have to admit the violence in the south after integration had never hit me before the way it did during the documentary excerps in that film. We have people from all over the world here, my 4th-floor neighbor is a lovely black lady whom I am very pleased to count among my acquaintances, what's the problem?

Hi Robyn: You're so sweet to feel sorry for racists. Personally I could never be around anyone who was racist, as I had to listen to my parents and their hateful talk the whole time I was growing up. Even way back then I knew my parents were wrong and what they were saying was evil. I'm against beauty contests Robyn, but a beautiful young woman just became Miss America and there were so many racist comments and also stupid comments about her Indian heritage all over the internet. There were comments calling her a 'terrorist', an Arab, and saying how the judges were wrong to vote for someone like her just days after 9/11. OMG what stupidity.

I agree with mrsjoe - except for the last part of her last sentence. I am NOT now, nor have I ever been racist and quite frankly, I'm tired of the name calling on this site insisting that anyone who's not "for" obama is racist. The color of one's skin isn't important. It's the character of the person that's important.
I agree.

Thanks Archer, I havent read the book but i intend to. Im inclined to veer away from these types of black slavery books as I remember reading one when I was quite young and it had a profound effect on me. To Kill a Mocking Bird.

The racist section dont seem to be able to think any other way grandbluff.
I feel sorry for them as they must feel full of hatred. Its a different sort of hate I would imagine that they hold for black people and colours of other nationalities. God made us all but some people think he doesnt exist.

Hi bijou, Its quite disgusting. My daughter came across it in Arkansas, and she said it was really really bad there. I suppose there are certain people who inherited this sort of thinking from their parents. Its a pity about Miss World, in this modern day and age.

I dont think I mentioned The President. He will be ok. Its the other black people and unacceptable nationalities that I feel sorry for. They are treated quite badly. Here in Ireland its not so.

I cant understand it either Dan. The person inside is all that matters, a kind heart, a smiling face, and a kind personality. People vcant see beyond the colour of the skin, at least some people not all.
