A LONG TIME

I have a hard time with my software so I'm not on SFF very often any more.

The Nashville bash was amazing. If you've never attended one you should. I came on this site in 2002. I was newly blind. I had a small . Guess I was pretty lost back then. Laughing As a matter of fact one of our members described me as "damaged goods" to another member.

Today I'm married to a great man. I met him at a bash. We've been married a little over a year. He doesn't recognize my damage.

I just want to let every person on this site know how very much I care about you.

I had such a big life. In an instance it was over. Or at least I thought it was. I found this site and struggled to learn the computer. Back then I hardly ventured out of my sisters home..

I guess what I want to tell you is that you aren't just handles to me-- you're real people.

The Nashville was amazing as usual.. It was exciting-- especially meeting Lucy and Fossil-- I just couldn't believe it when they were really there in the same room with me after all these years! I just wish they lived in Nashville so we could see them all the time. But I wish that about all the people at the bash.

Do you want to know about Larry and I? :

I met him at a bash. I was with another man. I thought he was with another woman. (He wasn't) The next year he ask me to dance. I still thought he was with that woman (I was not with anyone) He explained to they were only friends. She explained to me they were only friends.

We spent some time together. We agreed he would come to Missouri to see me. My daughters asked me "How long is he going to be here, Mom?"

"I am going to keep him."

I did not want to do the long distance thing. I did not want any more of the telephone thing. I was not willing to take the chance that another woman was going to take My Larry from me. I wanted a ring on his finger.

I knew he had good morals. I knew he had good values.

Larry arrived at my house on the ninth of June and I married him on the 11th.

Today we are like Bogie and Bacall. Laughing

What else is there to say? . . .

I am so happy Alfie and I have met you and spent time with both of you at several bashes.

The love you and Larry has for you shines!

I like to watch Larry watch you. He looks at you and smiles the biggest smiles!

So Larry was Willymakit, I do remember that handle from chatting quite awhile back.

There have been many couples that have met through SFF. We did too and were married May 12th of this year.

We hope there will be another time we will meet you two again.

This post brought tears to my eyes - tears of joy for what you and Larry have found.

I understand the feeling being damaged goods. My late husband Mac and I met here and had almost 6 years together before he passed of cancer. I was so fortunate to have had him for the time I did. He helped me to believe in life again.

The right person can help take all those broken pieces and put them back together again. It's obvious the love you to have for each other. You can see it in your eyes. God Bless you and Larry.
