He's Quite a Man!

Hard to believe I told the Doctor to put him in a home. The Doctor-- told me "No, he has no place to go, except home with you."

I said "I couldn't be his mother." No problem-- he was Down Syndrome. It was because his prognosis-- he wouldn't live to be a year. Maybe two.

Silly Doctors-- they don't know everything.

Silly ME-- I under estimated my abilities. I am the best mother he could have ever have.

He's thirty-six. . . Healthy and I'm happy. . . and He is Quite A MAN!

My -- Joey--

My admiration you are the best mother for him!

Thanks Simple, I didn't think so in the very beginning-- but one day a girlfriend of mine told me I was the best Mom he could have. He was only a couple of days old then. I bought what she said and never doubted myself in that role for a minute. Thanks for reading my blog

Hi Robyn, Thanks -- I know he is a blessing-- I wouldn't change him for anything. I've had people tell me they are sorry when they hear I have a child who is Downs. Inside my head I am almost laughing and thinking I am sad for them if they don't have one in their life.

Hey Ann, He is a huggable little guy! A long time ago I tried to get him to quit hugging and shake hands. I finally gave that up!
