Jodi Arias, Ariel Castro, Bengazi

The title of this blog only indicates that it has been a busy week in the news media.

Two days ago, Jodi Arias (Mesa,AZ....suburb of Phoenix) was found guilty of 1st degree murder of her somewhat ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. She had stabbed him somewhere near 27-30 times (conflicting reports), shot him in the head with a 25 caliber pistol (never found) and slit his throat nearly from ear to ear ala OJ Simpson (Nicole Brown style). She was jealous that he was taking a different girl (woman) to Cancun, Mexico. He probably suffered a lot depending on the sequence of the injuries.

Mr Alexander was a Mormon. His faith demands no pre-marital sexual activities. However, when Jody Arias traveled from California to Mesa to meet him, her intent was to kill him. His intent was a whole lot of sex as Jodi was forced to describe in intimate detail via questions that were submitted by the jurors (this is allowed in Arizona). Apparently they had 18 hours of various sexual activities before she started killing him. (Now 18 hours is a whole lot of stamina in my book). Pictures of both of them fully nude were put up on a monitor for the jury to see. Mr Alexander's injuries were also displayed on a monitor and were grotesque. Likely, Jodi Arias is a femme fatale, and a woman scorned.

Meanwhile, in Cleveland, Ohio, a person named Ariel Castro is found to have been keeping at least three women and one 6yo locked in his home for about 10 years. Most likely the women were chained or locked in the basement for the duration. Mr Castro is a sexual deviate and each of the women most likely several times in manners unknown at this time. He also impregnated the women 5 times and when he found out they were pregnant, he kicked them in the stomach until the women were forced to abort the fetus. He has now been charged with numerous counts of kidnapping and I believe murder of 5 counts. The DA is seeking the death penalty. Castro's bond is set at $8,000,000, so he'd need $800,000 to make bail........unlikely.

******************************************************************

As I read these two cases above, I wonder how different at least one of them would be if one of the kidnapped women would have had a gun or knife like Jodi Arias? Castro might be dead, women freed in a far shorter duration. Would the woman be charged with first degree murder like Jodi Arias? Food for thought.

And, on capital hill, the whistleblowers are testifying before a congressional hearing regarding the loss of 4 American lives in Benganzi, Lybia. Apparently, we had 4 special ops guys loaded on an American C-130 airplane in Tripoli, Lybia (600mi from Bengazi, or about an hour's flight). Twice during the firefight or assault on our Ambassador and two special ops guys and one other person, the special ops in Tripoli were told to "stand down" (meaning don't go and don't do anything in Bengazi). Who ordered the "stand down" order. The special Ops were ready to go. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama?? Either or both? I don't know. What I do know is Obama faded from sight during the first Bengazi hearings and flew to Las Vegas. Now, new hearings, and where is Obama? He's in Texas. And Hillary was waving her arms in the first hearings saying or screaming "What difference does it make."

Just had to vent. Feel free to post or make corrections.

sounds like we had best prepare to take care of ourselves no matter who we are, where we are of what our circumstances are. Sure does not appear that anyone else is going to do it.

Hi Spirit,

Yes, it sure feels that way sometimes. Thanks for your post.

I will never hurt, harm or kill anyone unless they come after me while I am living in what I believe to be a free country.

I just hope I can get off enough rounds to get more of them before they get me if the government comes after me.

What I found more than a little bit odd was the lack of coverage for the Benghazi hearings, the networks instead playing to the Castro and Arias issues. Those are criminal issues that will be resolved by the courts and their juries. Much more important to the citizens of this country is the result of the Benghazi hearings.

I still remember vividly the statements made during Watergate asking "what did he know and when did he know it?" and yet why are those same questions not being asked of nobama? We know, from those hearings, that hillary lied to Congress. Did she not learn from her hubby that lying to congress leads to impeachment? Is that why she resigned prior to the disclosures of her actions (or is it inactions)? Surely people can see now her complete inability to hold any future public office.

I am more than a little bit ticked at the TWELVE..yes, TWELVE...edits to the original CIA email where the State Dept. eliminated all references to Al Queda and terrorism, both of which were mentioned in the original email.

Now........who's going to wind up as the scapegoat? Or will nobama wind up being the new teflon president?

There is only one thing standing between nobama and Marxist tyranny: We, the People!!

Hi 1ga,

All good, and I agree fully. Gotta wonder about our ammo supply now. I believe Obama is implementing his failed gun control efforts by having Homeland Security, the IRS and other federal departments buying billions of rounds of ammo, in order for the general public to not have any available to buy.

Sleek, thanks for your post.

I believe the Benghazi hearings drew less interest because they didn't have the flavor of "Sex, Lies, and Videotapes" (best seller). People are drawn to this stuff much more than some boring detail about a mere 4 Americans being killed in some far away place.

In the long run, however, I believe Hillary will be subpoenaed to testify again, and is likely to be found guilty of perjury or lying to a congressional hearing from her first testimony. Obama, teflon for sure. We're stuck with him for 3.75 more years. On the plus side we've made it longer than we've got to go with that narcissistic idiot and his Antoinette boitch wife.

Hi Ms Joe,

Yes, the "exciting" exposure of sexual details and gruesome pictures tends to draw the audiences, whether some admit it or not.

I do not think Benghazi will die off however, until every detail is presented, including emails and "tweets". There will probably be an "executive privilege" executed by Obama however, so that he is removed from the picture, guilty or not. Hillary will go down in some manner. Not sure what at this time, but I feel she will be called to re-testify and be the scapegoat for Obama. Forget 2016 if that happens.

Yup, I agree - guns are the answer to most problems.

Up here in Commie Canada various governments over the decades have stripped us of the right to defend ourselves effectively.

Fortunately there is a loophole that the governing class missed.

Air guns are not prohibited.

I'm gonna start looking for some .22 calibre protection.

It may not bring down a moose at 200 meters, but it will certainly ruin the day of the next violent ex-con who breaks into my house at 0300 bent on and robbery.
