Wow! Does Michele Bachmann really hate gays?

Or did she ever claim that she speaks for God?

Or did God ever say He hates gays?

Well, that settles it for me. Now, I'm not gonna vote for her. But I'm still voting for God. I'm pretty sure others put words in His mouth, just like folks who created this pic are doing to Michele Bachmann.

Gavin

    Quoting BobbiH77021:
Ms. Bachmann has some pretty distinct views about gays. In fact her husband (Marcus Bachmann) has applied for and received federal funding to "pray the gay away" in his practice.

It seems that you probably are not very aware of a lot of things that transpire in conservative circles. To inform you of some regarding Michelle Bachmann I am providing you a couple of quotes. They are as follows:

"“It’s part of Satan I think to say that this is “gay.” It’s anything but gay.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, speaking at EdWatch National Education Conference, November 6, 2004."

"“If you’re involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it’s bondage. It is personal bondage, personal despair and personal enslavement.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, speaking at EdWatch National Education Conference, November 6, 2004."

"“It isn’t that some gay will get some rights. It’s that everyone else in our state will lose rights. For instance, parents will lose the right to protect and direct the upbringing of their children. Because our K-12 public school system, of which ninety per cent of all youth are in the public school system, they will be required to learn that homosexuality is normal, equal and perhaps you should try it. And that will occur immediately, that all schools will begin teaching homosexuality.” – Senator Michele Bachmann, on what will happen if her same-sex marriage ban amendment fails to pass in 2004, appearing as guest on radio program “Prophetic Views Behind The News,” hosted by Jan Markell, KKMS 980-AM, March 6, 2004"

Now if you are of the opinion, as Ms. Bachmann is, that gays have chosen to be gay. That it is a character defect rather than a genetic disposition, then you will probably not see that she is denigrating a portion of our population. In doing so she is elevating her station in life above those that are gay. I am not gay but I resent any conservative that tries to take a position of someone that denigrates or diminishes someone for something over which they have no control. Do you understand now?
Nowhere did she say she hates gays. Nowhere did she advocate for hating them. Obviously she disagrees with them on many points.

You disagree with me, so should I accuse you of hating me? Don't bother to answer, because I wouldn't do that simply because you and I disagree on some things.

So please explain to me how Michele Bachmann's disagreement with gays and the homosexual lifestyle is somehow evidence that she hates them?

The message of your chosen pic is a gross overstatement, and thus diminishes the credibility of those on the left.
