Uhhh...I wish you hadn't mentioned that  If President Obama would have continued the increase in national debt trend established by the previous three Republican presidents our national debt would be at 21.4 trillion dollars rather than 16.7 trillion dollars as it now exists. While that level of debt is higher than most of us want, it is really a remarkable recognition of the effective fiscal management that President Obama has shown throughout his presidency. I wonder if a Republican president were in office now if those in conservative ranks would even pay attention to the level of our national debt...history would indicate that they wouldn't care. Fiscally, things are not nearly what those in the conservative echo chamber would have you believe. |

Hi Bobbi: With all the tax money coming in via every level of government, it's scary that our countries have even one penny in national debt. For example, instead of the U.S. paying over a billion dollars a year to support Egypt's military, why not use that money to pay down the national debt? The Repubs complain that President Obama is wasting taxpayers' money and increasing the debt, then when he cuts out unnecessary expenses they accuse him of being a bad president for each cut he makes????

These numbers are the result of: - Winning the Cold War under Prez Ron - Freeing Kuwait under Prez Bush I - Destroying an imminent threat to America under Bush II in the guise of one Saddam Hussein. These were necessary actions to preserve the nation and liberty, unlike the uncontrolled spending of Democratic administrations. The latter only care about illegal immigrants, welfare queens, and overpaid civil servants.
