7 Deadly Sins...Of Lust. |

Ah yes, lust! Are we not all guilty of at least lustful thoughts at times? See you later, going to Indiana tomorrow to visit family and friends, not sure if I will use her computer when there. Back in a week or so. Lady Ann-again

Lust used to be one of my favorites. But as I've grown wiser with age, I now prefer sloth. Gluttony is a close second. LOL GBU, Gavin PS: I had lust a few years ago, but I took my Japanese car to the body shop. They fixed and repainted it.

I think of lust as an extension of envy....the point at which we may act on our desire to take what someone else has. When one looks at lust as unwanted physical attention...sexual assault, I think that it's power, domination, and humiliation rather than desire which is the sin.

Back in a week or so. Lady Ann-again I do hope you have a lovely time where you are going and and if we don't hear from you then we know they would not lend you the computer. See you when you get back. Have a safe and pleasant journey. Be well... Ron. PS. Glad you like the photo. I was trying out my new webcam.

Great fun and, with the car, I hope you were lust in time to have it made roadworthy! I am with you there in that Sloth and Glutony are in line with my aging process. Ron.

I think of lust as an extension of envy....the point at which we may act on our desire to take what someone else has. When one looks at lust as unwanted physical attention...sexual assault, I think that it's power, domination, and humiliation rather than desire which is the sin. There's some pretty strong views in what you write and I never thought of lust being an extension of envy. I shall ponder that fact. I do believe that lust is an instinctive urge to pro-create so that a species will survive and we, unlike animals have learned to control our feelings, keeping them in a dark and secret drawer. Humanity has knowledge of time, again unlike the lower animals, in that we give time to our primeavil sense so that, with time, lust becomes love. So we are lust in time, as Gavin would have us say...lol Take care... Ron.
