A few thoughts

Another reason why Socialism don't work is grammatically incorrect. Why Socialism DOESN'T work is proper. It was interesting to note the site's grammar police failed to make the correction giving credence to the fact he's more interested in embarrassing the left than educating the right. Nonetheless, the right wingers prattle on about hate and in doing so express their hate for Barak Obama. Then they wonder why some of us on the left of center struggle to give them even an iota of credibility. In reality they speak from the heart and disregard any available brain power. I will, sure, be castigated for this statement, but every time the right posts on this blog they demonstrate and prove my point. I keep hope alive, but reality tells me they need more than hope.

There's a blog telling the story today's Democratic Party would be unrecognizable to my forefathers. First, both my parents were Republicans serving faithfully both as workers and elected officials. This merely to inform you I am familiar with the GOP of old and had some respect for it even through the Bush '43 years. What is referred to as the Republican Party no longer exists. The 30% have run roughshod over the old GOP and created the Party of Trump for no readily apparent reason. This is not an unusual phenomenon. The right wingers here constantly demean and degrade the left and while their thoughtless insults resonate through the halls of SFF, they, themselves, suffer the very afflictions for which they try to demean the left. I see this as just more evidence of the lack of the ability to critically think. They think it's an intelligent position, however, and post their ignorance for all to see. These are the very same people who follow President Trump down the slippery slope destroying the United States. Apparently they haven't noticed even some of the right wing former Republicans are abandoning the Trump ship which is mired in the doldrums of mediocrity, at its best.

The myopic views of the right wing lack the requisite capability to consider the future and the long term effects of their misguided and Trump enhancing policies. The Democrats are blamed for practically everything despite the fact there was a all-GOP government for the first two years of this administration. Now that the Democrats have taken control of the House, Nancy Pelosi is eating President Trump's lunch and he's baffled as to how to overcome that situation. This leaves the right wingers no choice but to bad mouth the Democrats in a losing effort to enhance their own agenda. It ain't workin'.

At least Trump got one thing right when he said he'd drain the swamp. One by one all those Repubs associated with Trump are under investigation, being charged, being convicted, leaving the swamp and going to prison. With so many ongoing investigations of Trump who knows if he will be leaving the swamp too.

the idea that we could fear those you talk about.. is pretty amazing....this isn't a new thing.. It's been around a long time..Frustration of old ideas coming out of the woodwork. The once NOW generation.. has finally gotten their NOW ... But it impossible to transfer it ...to any new generation... the young aren't buying it...So for now.. let it be their day in sun.. on a slippery slope going nowhere, but to hell..

It's about time for them.....and For NOW.... they get to enjoy the ride.

We have a great purpose in life... To pass it on to the future.....You may not like it... But it's Happening... Sometimes the "old" generation can't be a guiding light...but it serves the same purpose to show the darkness.... in what not to be..
I think we are doing a "hell" of a job.. with that..

"Nancy Pelosi is eating President Trump's lunch and he's baffled as to how to overcome that situation."

Trump’s response? Canceling her trip to Brussels Thursday night right before takeoff. In the letter he said, he was "sorry to inform her," that he's canceling the trip.
No, he wasn't sorry. Not at all!

He basically stole her lunch money. And then he ate her lunch.

Here is another small tid bit for you digest:

With Republicans on both House and Senate investigative committees having found no evidence of Donald Trump being guilty of Democrat-inspired allegations of Russian collusion, it is worth revisiting one anecdote that escaped significant attention during the hysteria but continues to have U.S. security implications.

As secretary of State, Hillary Clinton worked with Russian leaders, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then-President Dmitri Medvedev, to create U.S. technology partnerships with Moscow’s version of Silicon Valley, a sprawling high-tech campus known as Skolkovo.

Considering Trump's 'base' is primarily comprised of white, non-college educated males, many of his followers here on the site (and elsewhere) believe they can function superbly without benefit of higher learning which incorporates a never ending quest for truth via an aroused curiosity arriving from posing more questions than answers. Rather, I see more evidence of thwarted learning via more answers than questions.

I have to question whether some here have ever completed the compulsory elementary school years where contractions are introduced to aid the ensuing adult in never looking completely ignorant of their native tongue. It shows. Trumps obviously relies upon ignorance.

You make it obvious every day, that your brain is divided into 2 sides.....Us and Them........and that seems to be your simplistic guiding principle at all times.....the only criteria you take into consideration ....ever.

In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate. Just pray teoll why the Speaker of the House needed to leave the country when there is so much work she could actually get off her butt and do. Immigration Reform for one which is being kicked down the road again. The people elected these people to take care of the governments business and in my opinion they ain't been doing it. They have a job that pays them $174,000 dollars a year.,Again in my opinion they don't earn $i.74 for the work they do .

I know quite well what month it is, I certainly don't need a misandrist to tell me what month it is. The Shutdown: What Did We Lose? The main thing we all have lost, is a complete lack,of confidence in the Democratic Party’s ability of being a cohesive member of the American Political System, who’ve not any desire of working together with the other, to work for the betterment of the American People and Nation.

Do you really believe that your blogs encourage cohesiveness in the political system? That they show your "desire" to work together for the betterment of all Americans? If that's what you think, then you are an even bigger idiot than I thought.

Every blog you post makes it very clear to all, that what you actually want is for every political party to capitulate and bow down to the dictates of the trump cult.
Good luck with that!

If the Democrats ever brought an idea to the table for negotiation, I think a lot of people would die of shock. The Democrats want illegal immigrants flooding into our country unchecked. They are weak on crime and want to substantially raise taxes.

In regard to Donald Trump: If people would look at his accomplishments instead of his mouth and his tweets this nation would be better off. Record low unemployment, record number of people in work force, wages have increased, taxes have been cut, ISIS all but defeated. Record LOW ALL TIME Black, Hispanic and Asian unemployment. What president has done that better if it is RECORD BREAKING? Plus he can't be bought and is trying his very best to drain the swamp on both sides of the aisle.

First, all of the "accomplishments" you continually list as Trump's really began their growth during the Obama Administration. You castigate the Democrats, but the Republican Congress did virtually nothing for the two years they held the White House and the majority in both Houses. Furthermore, he's already been bought and paid for by the Russians and North Korea. He's managed to alienate most, if not all, of our allies which were necessary relationships in the building of a peaceful world. Finally, all this "accomplishing" has led to stagnation in middle class income and the highly touted tax breaks have proven to be exactly what the Democrats predicted, the rich get the breaks and the middle class is footing the bill.

Your inability to recognize any of this should should cause some consternation over your upbringing. It appears your parents spent their parenting time pouring false or misleading information into your consciousness rather than forcing you to actually think about issues and arrive at a cogent position. None of the positions you take regarding the Trump Administration have a basis in the historical facts which led to their current status. He has consistently worked off the eight years it took to arrive at the point President Trump confiscates as his own. 70+ months of growth has taken us to where we are today leaving the campaign promises of stopping national debt and building a wall as grotesque failures. The 30% take a myopic view of these scenarios apparently forgetting the state of the United States economy when President Obama took office. I don't believe President Obama will be historically deemed the best president ever for our nation, but I do believe President Trump will be deemed the worst. The fact you either can't or refuse to acknowledge this leads me to believe your beliefs are a result of inferior developmental issues.

Prejudice cannot be conquered with logic, logic didn't instill it and logic cannot eradicate it.

After all, this is a man who doesn't know the difference between "loose" and "lose".
Or that his professed "Christianity" means he has to behave like a Christian and adhere to the teachings of Christ... of which empathy and love of his fellow humans is the very basis of those teachings.
I'd bet he doesn't even feel any sense of loss at the horrific atrocity committed in NZ, by a man who hails Trump as a hero.

So why do you count the employment rate of "African-American" and "Hispanic-American" separately from all the rest of the employed/unemployed? Why should you even know the figures?

Instead of blabbing about "racism" you should educate yourself on what it actually is... because to you it seems to be accusing everybody who disagrees with you of everything you are doing.

You ask me "So why do you count the employment rate of "African-American" and "Hispanic-American" separately from all the rest of the employed/unemployed? Why should you even know the figures?"

You blithering fool ask these nonsensical questions I should not even take the time to answer, but I ain't like Lulu. I will attempt to enlighten you, mainly because they are on the news, and before you scream FOX here is a portion from Bloomberg: Unemployment rates among black people and Hispanics in the U.S. hit record lows last month amid a widespread tightening of the labor market.

Black unemployment fell to 6.6 percent in April, the lowest in data dating back to 1972, while the jobless rate among Hispanics dipped to 4.8 percent, matching the lowest on record, Labor Department figures showed Friday. Black and Hispanic jobless rates are generally more volatile than the overall unemployment figure, which fell below 4 percent last month for the first time since 2000.

The Bloomberg Article was written by Randy Woods and dated May 4th 2018

A years-long bipartisan effort to protect Southern California’s desert has paid off for conservationists and off-roaders.

President Donald Trump signed a national public lands package Tuesday, March 12, that includes legislation protecting 716,000 acres in Southern California. The land includes off-highway vehicle recreation areas, open space and wilderness in the Mojave and Sonoran deserts, and expands Joshua Tree and Death Valley national parks.

Sounds like President Trump improved the park

Your remarks about Nancy Pelosi's trip to visit the troops in Afghanistan illustrates your extreme isolationism.
