More flowers

The temperature today is 30C/31 C (88F/90F) and the flowers are enoying themselves - even if they do need watering twice a day.

The French marigolds are growing much bigger than usual.

Somebody sure has a great eye when it comes to pairing the flowers with others that compliment each other..... you? or your wife?
That single flower with the few petals of red.... are all the flowers that way or was that just an unusual thing?
I couldn't take care of all that.... but I would sure enjoy spending time there.
It's beautiful and peaceful looking.

I claim credit for the troughs, hanging baskets and potted plants on the deck but Mrs J designs the garden beds each year around the permanent planting/shrubs.

The summer was very late arriving this year (May was one of the coldest on record) so much of the flowering schedule is out of whack. As someone commented on FB it is a cacophony of colour - not quite what was planned.

I do cheat with the pots on the deck as they are a bit like Lego blocks and I rearrange them to show the better flowers each week or so.

We spend part of every dry day on the deck or in one of the other three sitting areas sited down the garden. It has a 9 foot drop from top to bottom so resting on the way up when it is really hot is a must.

Great display of splendour, Bond. You and Mrs J created a little paradise..... I believe that singing birds, butterflies and bees (?) are your daily guests.

Thank you Seek. We do enjoy our time in among the flowers and we have lots of birds visiting, usually for the bird bath and food from the bird table.
We have a resident small colony of solitary bees who have bred in a small hole in the wall but they will be gone in a month or so.

Bondjam always enjoy looking at your all the flowers in your garden. I have a few different varieties of flowers and I enjoy going out on my deck and checking out new blooms and so forth. I also have a couple of strawberry plants just to change things around a bit. Keep on posting your flower photos as we all enjoy looking at them.

IT HAS BEEN COOLER THAN USUAL UNTIL TODAY BUT MY PLANTS ARE DOING BETTER THAN USUAL, PROBABLY BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN COOLER. THERE SEEM TO BE FEWER INSECTS TOO, PERHAPS BECAUSE THE PUNY LITTLE GERANIUM I BOUGHT AT THE FLOWER SHOW HAS SUDDENLY TURNED INTO A REAL BEAUTY AND MOSQUITOES DISLIKE GENERANIUMS SO I HAVE HEARD. SOME OF THE FLOWERS YOU HAVE WOULD NOT DO WELL HERE IN SUMMER.
