Bright pictures on a dull day

Not so sunny today but these might brighten things .

Blue and yellow million bells

Hemerocallis - late flower but worth the wait

Begonia semperflorens , lives its name

Fuchsia and Canterbury bell in the small border giving some height and colour

Double flowered, two tone million bells

Either this anemone forgot to flower in the spring or it is putting on an encore

Lobelia cardinalis - late flowering but a spectacular red

Maroon poppy -self seeding everywhere

Bright red verbena with deep, deep purplepetunia

Our very own 'blumenecke' taking over a large part of the deck

Those colourful flowers are hopefully highlighting many more days - the dull ones and the sunny ones. The anemone showed up late to get your special attention. I believe you and Mrs J enjoy tea time and scones on the deck.

Our kafee und kuchen hours are usually spent on the front 'woodland' deck as it is out of the sun. We enjoy breakfast and BBQ's on the rear deck but it is south facing and on top of a slope so gets very hot in the afternoon.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Beautiful pictures, bondjam!! Thank you for sharing with us. It was quite dreary here today, so I enjoyed seeing some brightness.

I love the way flowers just carry on 'shining' through the gloom.

I love the yellow and purple bells, so pretty. The maroon poppy is lovely too. Bond your whole garden is a treasure to behold.

Thanks Maudie. It is our retreat, we spend hours just sitting looking out over the deck -- and wandering about 'tinkering' with each part.

Beautiful. Now that we are fairly homebound since we lost our travel buddy, I planted a few pots of flowers for the patio and I'm enjoying them tremendously.
