More Canada pics. Just a few more pictures from Canada demonstrating the wonderful scenery. Round every corner there is yet another magnificent view. Jasper and Maligne Lake provided some spectacular vistas and wildlife. |

Even in dull weather Jasper and Maligne Lake are well worth a visit.

Gorgeous photos! I cannot find the album with the pictures when our Girl Scouts went to Canada and got tired of looking......maybe another day.

Beautiful scenery. I remember on our honeymoon, as Joe drove through the Smokey Mountains, I took picture after picture because around every curve and over every rise it seemed more beautiful than the last. When we got home, I had so many similar pictures and couldn't remember which was where. Then I saw the Rockies! WOW. Totally different, but both mountain ranges have their own beauty. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Enjoyed the photos......you must have a pretty good telephoto lens to get that elk.......good one.....When I was in my late-teens, early 20s, I travelled a lot between Prince Rupert BC and Vancouver. The train went all the way East into Jasper before heading South, so I got to see it in all kinds of weather. To earn some extra money while going to school, I made boutique accessories. One very cold day when we were stopped in Jasper for a couple of hours, I was heading to a souvenir shop and an ancient First Nations woman came along with a bundle of 40 Jack-Rabbit skins to sell. They were beautifully finished....the softest skins imaginable and pure white with a little grey or fawn markings.......I bought them all for very little and made them into beautiful, stylish purses.......I still have a clear picture of her in my mind, with her long white braids, a bright red , long wool coat with a diaper pin holding it closed and brightly beaded rawhide leggings........our breath was like smoke in the sparkling cold and she had such a warm laugh, very happy to hand over her bundle......She said she had a trap-line that her grandsons helped her maintain and helped her cure the skins.....

Beautiful pictures Bondjam. They bring back a lot of memories. I recall a number of years ago I went to the Columbia Ice Fields. I was with my cousin and his wife from Mississippi. We had been staying in Lake Louise and decided to take a day trip there. The mountain sheep were lying along side of the road where we were driving. I was able to get some pictures of them. They seemed to be so tame.

Spectacular photographs, Bondjam, thank you for posting them, they enrich all our lives. Seems my friends were right when they told me Canada is a lot like Scotland...only on a much bigger scale!
