speaking of Travis AFB, I attended an Aircrew Reunion there last Saturday. Suisun has had a lot of improvements the last 20 years.
Vacaville is struggling between staying a 'small town' and going 'big time'
Interesting story.

I have a lot of memories of my childhood days in Vacaville. My sister and I picked and cut apricots as a summer job. We worked right along side of the "migrant workers" as they were called back then. But when other kids were skating and riding their bikes, my sister and I were making money.

re: "Old Rocky" I'll ask my kids... Is it on the road from Napa to Fairfield/or Lake Berryessa? I used to commute by a rock Friday afternoons to bypass traffic that somebody had placed a 'pipe' in what looked like a face

I'm just the opposite of you. Until I was married the first time, I had never been more than 100 miles from home............ and until I married Joe, never more than 500 miles from home. But you don't miss what you never had.
Now? I've seen both oceans and the Gulf and some of the sites along the way. I'm glad I have, but I have no desire to live anywhere but here where my roots grow deep in this patch of soil.
But........... sometimes, I do kind of envy those of you who have traveled extensively and the things you have seen and done.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

re: 'old rocky'. Our neighbor says it is located above what is now called 'Hamburger Hill'. I will have to go up there with the dog and look around...
