I chuckle, although it is not funny, about how the antifa crowd use the Nazi and fascist tactics to protest against what they call Nazis and fascists. I think many of them are just kool aid drinkers who chant the mantra they have been fed, and get all hyped up with hate filled energy and have to break something to prove their point.
I consider myself right of center conservative. I do not believe in religion in schools.... simply because I do not want someone else teaching my child about God in the way that they view Him. But I also do not believe God should be totally blocked out of our school system either.
And I do believe there should be a social net to help people in times of temporary hardships....... but not as a way of life to be handed down generation to generation.
I do not agree with, and condemn the actions of those far right groups..... I do not believe they are truly conservatives at all...... and I also believe that good hard working liberals do not agree with and condemn the actions of those far left groups. I just wish they would step up and say it.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I agree. Religion in PUBLIC SCHOOLS is not something I support either. I have no problem with a moment of silence or some similar arrangement. I have no problem with students reciting the Pledge of Allegiance but can't really support making it mandatory. Respect for the flag is not something kids learn in school - they learn it at home.

I consider myself a Centrist, for lack of a better term. The fact is i don't believe in controlled conformity of ideology, from either side.

Though, this blog is an interesting insight, especially coming from someone from the Right.

What I found most interesting about your lists.... Is that you have a far better understanding of the Left.....Than you do the Right.

I would have expected this list to be prepared by someone from the left, as it does a disservice to the Right.

You only see this blog as complimentary to the liberals because you generally act like a liberal. In your case, all I have to do is wait until your next post and you will probably change sides. It would be more typical for you to take both sides.

Mrs. Joe speaks my mind and I am the opposite of her - I consider myself left of center liberalism. I believe in keeping religious teachings out the public schools. separation of Church and State but this is also for the protection for people of faith. A citizen's faith should not be dictated by the whims of the government.

I even respect a radical right's first amendment right to protest along with a radical left's right to counter protest but when both sides are brings clubs, brass knuckles, and tear gas, they are BOTH crossing the line. That is not a protest, that is a public brawl.

Actually, I DID step up and say it and have gotten called a racist, a white and Trump Apologist for it. Do I really care what they think, Not Really!

Do you know why the Antifa thugs bring weapons to a peaceful protest? Yeah, me either.

I wasn't sure but i thought your list of the right, may have been facetious. but I guess i was wrong....
Patriarchal
No separation of Church and State.
No gun control..at all?
Equality takes a back seat.
Religion in public schools

I thought maybe you were a child of the 1950's......
but I'm wrong again, big time,......I got the wrong century, more like the 1750's or the 1850's. I now understand better, the right's meaning of "let's make America great...AGAIN"

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 8/29/2017 8:07 am:
Welcome to the 1850's then, Jiminy. You aren't in Junior High School any more and people are actually allowed to have opinions which are different than yours. I can see you at an anti-Trump protest - getting your ass handed to you by a 22 year old woman wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
