Some have argued that we already have term limits: the voting booth. But this fails, because everyone seems to think that theirs is the only member of Congress that needs to remain.
Many laws have 'grandfather' clauses, so that would be alright, but I am a proponent for term limits in Congress, the same as for the POTUS..... two terms and out. Perhaps changing the length of the term of a Congressman to 4 years would also be appropriate?

At least DeSantis has a grandfather clause in there to protect the Robert Birds, John Dingells and the like. Short of a Constitutional Convention you'll never see a change otherwise.

In the history of the Congress, the top ten longest serving members have ALL BEEN DEMOCRATS. Of the top one hundred longest serving members almost two-thirds have been Democrats. So, who has been homesteading in the capitol building?

I have been beating this drum in Canada too.

I think that three terms, four years in length is enough time to try to accomplish what they promised.

I agree. If they can't, then why are we paying them to represent us?

Can Congress even pass such a thing, without a constitutional amendment?

I will have to digest the next 300 JiminyCrickett posts to know...then I will still be confused. So, I'll check and get back to you on that.
