I find, like, the constant use of 'like' to be, like, totally annoying.

Ditto with 'awesome'.

The misuse of criteria and criterion sticks in my craw as well.

So does garnish when garnishee is meant.

Like, I think the criterion were establish in the basic blog, like above. Like which part is so, like confusing. Don't be so like, indecisive. Like pick just one. That would be like, awesome.

Robo calls to lower my interest rates................ or calls from the supplier of our diabetes test strips trying to get us to order extra things (and they will contact our doctor) like, back or knee braces, or penile pumps. They are so eager to spend taxpayer money because they always say, "This is covered by Medicare." I guess they have enough clients who are also willing to spend taxpayer money on unnecessary things too.

Even when humans are at the other end and the "auto-dialed" calls come in I give them about one second to answer before I hang up. Then, I call them back to see if anyone answers. Another fun trick is to say "You just called me less than five minutes ago." They will apologize profusely or just hang up.

I'm with you on this one Pat, those calls are a real pain in the butt, aren't they? We seem to get so many of them. I hate to say this, but it sometimes makes me feel pleased I'm deaf, because mostly I can't clearly hear what they are burbling on about.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

You can register on the National Do-Not-Call registry and it may relieve you of a few calls. They will never completely go away.

I know when there is a hesitation at the beginning, hang up...it is a Robo Call!

You don't answer the phone unless I am not home, I get the dirty work, dealing with them

And all this time I thought Alfie married you for your cooking skills ! PS) I use the "can't hear the phone" excuse on a regular basis too.

I'm with you on texting while driving!!

It's illegal in Canada but as yet the penalties are not high enough for the nutters to 'get the message' !!!

We have been on that Do Not Call list for years, and I don't think certain companies pay any attention to it. I also notice that they change their number frequently, so blocking it is not an option either.
I've tried talking to the real person, and asked them to remove our number from their call list and they just hang up on me.
Strange thing....... I get all those calls, not Joe. Joe hasn't had his number long enough, I guess.

I've registered on that 'no calls' function but I continue to get them, albeit not as many. One time, I allowed this guy to give his spiel & then interrupted asking him if I could have his number so I could call him back at his dinner hour!! He hung up

All of the above-mentioned quirks annoy me too! Oh and I don't remember us consistently using 'like' in our conversations as teens. A former neighbour of mine had 2 teens & one of them couldn't carry on single conversation without using 'like' every few words. I was at her high school graduation and we all went out to dinner afterwards. I asked Tricia to try & use a sentence without the word 'like'... she couldn't grasp my meaning (duhhhhh)!! LOL

"The Most Annoying Thing to me," Use the question after each and every sentence,,,,"YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN/". To me it is like saying I do not understnad english.
