Actually, more than the assassination of our president, what affected me was the reaction of our history teacher. She was a tiny spinster, who had a sharp tongue when she was upset, a rare smile, and the uncanny ability to turn the pages of that history book, at the right time, without ever looking down at it! I was in her class and we were listening to the radio broadcast over our school speakers..... when they announced the POTUS is dead, we were stunned. I saw tears well up in her eyes and spill onto her cheeks and she silently left the classroom. When she came back a few minutes later, she was composed, and we discussed what had just happened. Thinking back, I had a few teachers who had a huge impact on my life..... she was one of them. So that makes me wonder if these pansies are so much a product of their parents or of the academia that is shaping the minds of our young people? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I think everyone in the U.S. remembers exactly what they were doing that day. It will live in our minds the rest of our lives.
