Perhaps they assumed with a hiLIARy presidency, they would remain in their positions?
I heard that someone commented that Trump was unaware the entire staff would need to be changed. Somehow, I doubt that anything along those lines caught him unaware. Why would he want to have staff that had served his predecessor and adversary to remain?

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Yep, I think it was a shock, especially since there are now some on Obama's staff who are "leaking" false stories. For example about Trump being overwhelmed, demanding his kids get security clearances, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if they super-glued the office phones in place before they left, plugged the pencil sharpeners and broke toothpicks off in all the locks.

Not sure what your point is? You're saying some people don't like Trump and they should fake it? Or maybe you're saying Trump's a victim? Ok that sounds more like it.

But I have to wonder .. did Donald Trump think that insulting people for a year and a half was going to have a happy ending?

Oh, no intentional slight toward anyone in particular - well, other than the sore losers in the picture They were positive they had a chance to stay employed in a Democrat controlled White House for a few more years.
