I do have a suspicion, Foss. And yes, I was "calling my shot". Besides a picturesque view of the local lakes, this hole becomes a short par 4 if you play around the dogleg (trees and O . OTW it's a respectable par 5.The issue, of course, is that to cut the dogleg requires a 280-yd carry. I only do it on downwind days when I'm feeling perky...... On the OTHER hand, I did take the World Steel (shooting) Champ to 5 in a best-of-5 shoot-off. Never been able to do better than a finger-roll layup playin' hoops, though......
