Comment on Read-Only Posts Hi folks I notice a lot of Read-Only posts lately, and I suppose folks have a right to post them. But if they are SOLELY written to attack someone, (maybe u'r justified, or not) I would ask that you open them up so others can respond. I ask this because so often, the other parties feel very compelled to respond, which I think they are justified in doing. Then, it goes back and forth because you then respond in another blog, and they in another, etc. It just ends up wasting a lot of space on the Blogs List, and other blogs get pushed off much faster than they should. It floods the blog list. I'm NOT directing this post to those who, when engaged in an argument leave their blogs open for a reply from their opponent. I realize that sometimes arguments are just gonna happen in any group. Just hoping folks would consider how this flooding affects those of us who are not involved with your dispute. Gavin, well written blog and to the point, I agree!! I remember mentioning this to one of the culprits in chat awhile back and her response was, if they want to comment on my blog or discuss it they can do that in chat! Well lady, for your info, not every blogger goes into chat and therefore would like the opportunity to respond 'in blogs'!

I wish that those 'read only' blogs were marked as such in the blog lists. Then I wouldn't even bother opening them. One person's blogs are always 'read only' so I decided today that I won't open them at all. It's kind of like...Hit & Run...imho.

DON'T READ THEIR BLOGS.....about 60% of todays blogs are all about one person.....why?

I agree but doubt that anyone will give up the controls. I think people do what they do becasue they can. It's what my late husband referred to as a pi@@@ng contest. Spiritwoman ^i^

everyone of y'all have a good blog. yes it is ashamed that people has to act as a 5 year old. If you don't like to play I will take my marbles and go home, but there people who feels that have to be in control.

Hi again folks I tried to avoid criticizing ppl who post Read-Only blogs. But I can't say that I neccessarily admire them for posting their stuff. Hi Gavin: I open it, if I feel it's wrecking our group then I click on 'report this for abuse', then close it. If every person did the same, maybe something will be done.

You mostly know by the heading on the blog that its going to be a "hit and run" blog quoting Spitfire. Usually they just last for a short while until the writers up and leave us all in peace. They are a nuisance.

Gavin, there is one other thing to consider. The individual has a right to post away as long as they don't violate the Terms of Service of SFF. I am sure that most post are reviewed by the Abuse Department because there are a couple of BULLIES that report every post they disagree with. THAT is no less childish than the blogs you refer to.
