Exterra Gone? Hi folks One blogger in another blog mentioned that he'd searched for Exterra's handle, and found that it was deleted by the owner. I was rather surprised by that. But I'm still relatively new here, and what I hear from older bloggers is that he comes and goes with new handles. But that's not my main concern. Tho Exterra and I often disagreed, I think he did serve a purpose for those who agreed with his politics, who may have felt inhibited about sharing their views in SFF blogs. I want to be among the first to express my opinion that EVERYONE should feel comfortable sharing their political views, whether myself or anyone else disagrees. (My big thing is civility rather than some intimidated compliance.) So to all those who share Exterra's views, PLEASE don't be afraid to continue sharing your viewpoints in a polite manner!!! Further, speaking for myself, I will defend your right to express your opinions even if I disagree with them. So, I'm asking/reminding conservatives to treat liberals with respect and courtesy just like you should any other human being you come in contact with. This goes for both liberals and conservatives: There is no need to attack anyone who just happens to disagree with you on some things. It does not mean they are inferior or evil. Hi Gavin: I realize you haven't been here long but hopefully you will see who the real bullies are soon. Anyone who has ever expressed any support for President Obama is silenced by constant insults from the bullies. They push and push and correct and insult, and if the person has the nerve to finally stand up to the bullies, they all get together and complain of 'abuse' and the person is banned.

Hi folks! I only posted this just a little under 3 hours ago, and I'm very surprised at the number of comments, so TY all very much for commenting! I confess that I'm just too tired at the moment to make a seperate reply to all you dear folks, but there are a couple I'd like to address. Hi Railroad, u know I agree with ur politics, but PLEASE try to curb any past resentments u have against those who disagree with us politically. I am forced to agree with liberals who feel u attack, and often unfairly. I'm hoping u can calm down, so that they might feel more open to considering your views. But u just can't insult or shame anyone into agreeing with us. Thanks for considering this, and GBU. Hi Justlucy1, perhaps u'r correct about some "King" who gets ppl banned. I don't know who u r talking about tho. If you can find a POLITE way to clarify who it is, I'd be very interested to know who u are talking about. Obviously you feel some past resentment, and I can't say whether you are justified or not, because I don't know who u are referring to. And I'd also like to be on the lookout myself. I rather like it when the conservatives treat me disrespectfully since it tends to weaken their position. I would prefer a reasoned response, but a sophomoric insult will do if I can't get the former. I find that my fellow libs generally are polite with me, but I do find it curious that they rarely respond to my criticism of lib views. My take on Obama, for example. Libs never answer the my observations about him. Conservatives who love bashing the Big O don't seem to approve of my criticisms of him because I pick the wrong issues. I gather I should be dumping on Obama for being a socialist, sucking up to foreigners, and Obamacare. Even my unfavourable opinion of Obamacare doesn't resonate with conservatives because I think it doesn't go far enough.

Exterra writes well, I'm not talking about WHAT he wrote, just the way he expressed his point. Over the years I have found that people with this ability, are often denigrated by that segment of society that are opinionated, yet lack the writing skills to express their views in so lucid a manner. Should he come back...I would welcome him. I have to agree with u, and even tho I disagree with his political views, I'd have no problem if he comes back. One thing I'd hope for tho, is that he and others wouldn't be so inclined to copy and paste long articles. Exterra did that frequently. Railroad, I'm only going to say this once. If you want to attack anybody in MY blog, you better attack ME! That goes for anybody who phrazes insults to others by implication, or by direct unfair attack. Railroad, I've been watching and tried to be civil. TY for ur complements. GBU is an old habit of mine that I aquired in BigChurch. Whenever someone left the chatroom, I'd say "GB" to them, meaning "God Bless". Sometimes, there were folks who didn't believe in God, but I left it that way so they could interpret it as "Good Bye" should they prefer. GBU, is just "God Bless You". And I got in that habit when I'd be leaving the chatrooms by saying "GBU all" to the folks in there. TY for asking, GBU, Gavin GREETINGS EARTHLINGS! I COME IN PEACE! TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER.
