Furthering a Falsehood..........makes me weary ......You know sometimes one gets a little bit weary of all the misinformation, the twisting of facts and out right lies concerning former President Bush. The latest assault was directed at me when I recently made a comment about what the right wing movement wants. I said quote "They want Government to provide its citizens with legitimate functions and follow the constitution. Isn't that what you want?"....The response I got was a quote from a left wing web site called Capital Hill Blue. and leftist author Doug Thompson. Here's the quote... ......"then do you side against Bush on the following exchange when moderate Republicans warned him about possible constitutional problems with the Patriot Act?? "I don’t give a g**damn," Bush retorted. "I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way." "Mr. President," one aide in the meeting said. "There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution." "Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It’s just a g**damned piece of paper!" So records history. Here's the evidence;... There's no record of Bush ever using these words in public and no other news organization on the planet has reported him using them privately. Mr. Thompson based his report on three sources whom he didn't name. He gave the date of the quote as "last month," which would put it sometime in November 2005. Thompson told us he once removed the story from his Web site when others raised doubts and no other news organization came up with a similar story. But he said he later reinstated it and currently believes it to be true. .......I am sure glad Mr Thompson believes its true just like Dan Rather did in his false reporting of President Bush's National Guard service and even some here in blogland believe its true as well. Hatred of President Bush is such a powerful emotion that people resort to believing complete idiots like Mr Thompson who writes for some small time obscure leftist web site. Of course they also consider me a right wing extremist, sexist, biased, bigot who is against the common man. Put aside, for a moment, political affiliation or personal beliefs. It doesn't matter if you are a Democrat, Republican, Tea Party Member* or Independent. It doesn't matter if you support the invasion or Iraq or not. Despite our differences, the Constitution has stood for two centuries as the defining document of our government, the final source to determine in the end, if something is legal or right. -- Doug Thompson. I have posted an accurate reading of George W. Bush dismissing the Constitution of the United States of America as a, “g-dd-mned piece of paper”, with no hidden agenda or evasion of mind what- so- ever. I have posted an independently verifiable report of this incident in my blog, reported after interviewing three witnesses to the event; so each person may follow the example of our Founding Fathers-Read it for yourself and judge it against the lessons passed to us by Classical Greece, Rome and the Renaissance. *I added the Tea Party reference.

Rich absolutely If they cannot legitimately discredit former President Bush they will invent ways of doing it. He brought honor and dignity back to a Presidency that was rife with scandal by his predecessor. He was a calming source when America needed to be reassured that our President would stand for this country and not back down. Just like Reagan did after Carter so did George Bush do after Clinton. No one can not say what a gracious caring man he was after witnessing how he turned this great country over to President Obama. He was a class act through and through and still is. Mrs Joe I am reminded of how Harry Truman was hated and reviled. He was mocked and his family was as well. But he stayed true to his convictions. Today he is regarded as one of our ten most revered Presidents. Many are now just begining to see former President Bush in a different light as opposed to whats happening with the arrogance and Chicago style politics of the current administration. Roxy.... the 5 persons you mentioned have more credibilty underneath their collective fingernails than Mr. Thompson ever had. Thats why I find his report extremely hard to believe...... As for your other questions no answers other than a yes would satisfy you. That being the case I respectfully decline to answer them. Blaming Bush for everything is Roxy's race card. She never misses an opportunity to play it. I am still waiting to see how she will blame this hurricane season on Bush. I am sure she has a plan in mind. Personally, I think the entire oil spill episode in the Gulf of Mexico was caused by some woman from Texas who waded into the Guadalupe River and contaminated it with her chronic yeast infection. That infection was carried downstream to the Gulf of Mexico and subsequently caused the seafloor to deteriorate. The resulting weakness caused the ongoing spill, not BP. So, you see, everything is NOT Bush's fault.  I got a tattoo of Obama on my arm and it suddenly quit working
