photo friday.........the letter "C" ......OK here it is a 1952 Crosley convertible. This picture was taken in my Brothers garage in Maine as it was getting ready to ship to North Carolina. It was purchased by his wife my sister-in-law in 1954 when she was in High School. She is the 2nd owner. She drove it all through College. When she married my Brother in 1965 they put it in storage and has been there ever since. It only has 30,000 original miles and is in very good condition for a auto that is 58 years old. Their who lives in Asheville NC has it now and will restore it to its original condition. "The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind."....T. Paine |

I can honestly say that I don't ever remember seeing a Crosley before... and had no idea that it was a 'ragtop'. Interesting car!! Happiness is where we find it, but rarely where we seek it. J. Petit Senn

You're sure right about that Crosley being in near mint condition, Rich. Hopefully someday we'll get to see photos of the fully restored car. Thanks so much. "Think Foto Friday -- it's good for what ails ya!" --- Unknown

That is so neat. Vintage airplanes, cars....I love 'em! Compared to some of the airplane wrecks we rescue from the bush, that restoration project seems like a breeze (well, almost).

Whatever you said in the first teaser blog I thought...Crosley and then, naw it wouldn't be that would it. Yesterday you said it was. Wow, my brain still works! Great looking car. I don't know if I have seen one of these since I was a kid. Someone in my hometown in Illinois had one. I don't think it was a convertible though.
