The American "Will".......... .....One day back when America first became a nation the Devil became interested as he marveled at how we were able to cast off the bounds of tyranny and defeat the greatest military the world has ever seen. As he looked around he saw God fearing men craft a declaration that said we are endowed by a "Creator" with certain rights. He then saw these same men craft a Constitution enumerating those rights. Alarm bells sounded and the Devil thought I better watch these people for if they succeed many other countries will want to follow in their footsteps. As time passed the Devil was quite content to see this new land stumble and bumble along. He was really pleased that each state was not all that united and divisions seemed to rule the day. From each mistake America learned a better way of doing things and we were fast becoming exceptional. The Devil thought I cant have this I will have to do something. ... .....His first task was to delude the minds of people that their success is because of mans efforts instead of Gods blessings......Wow he said that was easy but I cant rest on that laurel so I better promote an attitude that people should love things instead of each other....... To do this he needed to convince each State to rely on gambling to raise revenues, and that character does not matter when choosing leaders. He will see that it becomes legal to kill babies in the womb for the sake of convenience and call it a woman's right to choose. Make it socially acceptable to take ones own life and have them invent machines to make it easy....... The Devil thought that all this is nice but to make sure that Americans do not overcome these burdens he said I have to have some insurance. OK lets take God out of the schools where even the mention of his name are grounds for a lawsuit. Lets attack the family which is the backbone of any Country. Lets compel some to express their most depraved fantasies on canvas and movie screens and call it Art. He decides to convince everyone that homosexuals and their lifestyles are to be accepted and marveled at. All this can be done by simply making Church irrelevant and that the bible is out of date and naive. Prayer is not important and doesn't change a thing.......As the Devil looks around today some 200 years later he is well pleased. His efforts have taken fruit, America will soon not become the light of the world. It soon will become just like any other nation. It can be merged into a community of countries to make a one world government.....Is this where America is headed? Is this the road we want to follow? I pray that we are not and the realization that we are in a battle not against flesh and blood but against the powers and principalities of darkness and evil is evident today more than ever...........The words of this song tell it a lot better than I ever could. ....You know I wish God would bless America again Like he did way back there when it all began. He blessed her then, and we sort of took it for granted And didn't ask again So lets just kinda' hold her hand now that's all In case she stumbles, lets don't let her fall. I don't understand everything I read and hear About what's wrong with America. When you don't have a lot of book learnin' There's many things you don't understand But I know this much, she's like a mother to me And I love her with all my heart And let me tell you this Sir, everything I am Or ever hope to be, I owe to her. God bless America again. You must know the trouble that she's in. Pattie yes Loretta did do a version of this song wih Conway also Ray Charles, Tex Ritter and others but was Bobby Bare who co-wrote this song with Boyce Hawkins. "The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind."....T. Paine

I don't mind if this country is being directed by God, As long as I know who's God is it! Separation of Church and State, Freedom of Religion, and freedom of speech...Boy, the Devil's been working overtime! honey, My cheerios this morning pulled a rope a dope, on me! LOL

Honey.....who gassed your engine this morning! LOL... oops! I know that already. LOL You know you, gas, and 60 min, may be A little too far right for the average liberal. but I'm not average.... That's why I think if we ever get together, (that includes gas and 60, LoL ), at a bash or something, we'll have a great time! Stranger things have happened!

And here I was, thinking JESUS was the light of the world. Wonder what HE thinks of that bit of supreme arrogance? Better watch out 60min, God might strike you with an earthquake for your sin of blasphemy. Or is that heresy? Then again, He might just say..."Read my lips 60min...America really IS just one Nation among many...I am the only Light of the World" "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life." John 8:12...and that's Gospel. Why don't you believe it?
